Amateur boxer and muay thai guy here. Im a snob when it comes to self defense stuff, and you guys said all the right things. Especially about the firearms. Same with traditional martial arts, takes years before you can become proficient enough to use it when you need to. Doesnt mean you shouldnt do it. The best answer, is do a little bit of everything. BJJ, muay thai, and firearms on a regular basis.
Thank you. This is so important to teach male and female. I like the anyone can do ideas. Been practicing your last defense video with all my grandchildren.
I think you're out of your league here. I have a house full of tactical flashlights. The one common thing between them all is they often fail to light up due to lousy batteries and lousy electrical contact … so I wouldn't bank on being able to blind some attacker. Additionally if you're close enough to wack the guy in the face with it you're close enough to be grabbed by the bad guy … it's likely you've been grabbed already. Maybe a flashlight is better than nothing … but IMO it's not a trustworthy alternative.
I had a Fenix tactical flashlight the same size as that one and it helped me a dozen times while working on the Vegas strip. I can't recommend them enough!!
I normally love this channel but you guys just strayed way outside of your area of expertise and gave very bad and very dangerous advice. Flashlights do not stop violent criminals, period. You should be ashamed of yourselves for perpetuating such bad information that has no basis in fact.
Some good points, especially posture and how to carry yourself with strength. After that better stick with PT.

Anyone afraid for their safety or that of their loved ones should take self-defence. And if you are not afraid, go see a psychiatrist.
