I believe this is the case with most court cases. They want a “conviction”,
It is about money and conviction rate. There is NO interest in justice
anymore. Legal system is a business to fill the city and state coffers with
money and if you haven’t noticed, prosecuting attorneys use “conviction
rate percentage” as a resume. They don’t care about your life or the lives
of your family.
“Eye witness” should be in prison for perjury. Prosecuting attorney needs
to be disbarred for life.
And this is a very good case for making sure you have self defense
insurance. NRA offers this. Put a big hairy insurance company between you
and the problem.
The DA has no risk. They can pursue any case without it costing them
anything and the poor guy they’re after has to spend his own money proving
his innocence but if he does, then the DA just shrugs it off and looks for
someone else to fuck. I wish all court costs went to the prosecutor if the
case gets thrown out or the defendant is found not guilty. That way, they
would have to approach the situation carefully.
Insurance IMHO is just a Band-Aid, and I don’t need to pay for another
policy. Instead of using the money to give to an insurance company, let’s
use it to lobby for change in each of our states and in Washington. I don’t
know about you, but I am sick and tired of this BS, and I will not relent.
There was a time when that would never have happened.
Sounds to me he has a civil case against the false witness who purgered
himself. The prosecutor also committed a wrongful act by knowingly
prosecuting him in contradiction of the evidence and after the only
whitness recanted. They should have dropped the case without prejudice.
He should recoup his losses against the jurisdiction that prosecuted and
any one who swore a false statement. Purgery is a crime. If an officer
knowingly signs his name to a false statement on a warrant that is also
purgery.
I hear from anti-gunners that firearms owners should by law, have to have
insurance in case they do something wrong with their gun, or if someone
steals their gun and does something wrong. Obamacare for guns…
i was told in my ccw class that even if it is a good self defense shoot you
will go to jail and you will need a lawyer because in a shooting you are
guilty until it is proven you are innocent so insurance is a great idea
mine is through the NRA so go get some you just never know when you will
need it
The anti-gun bed wetter should have to pay every dime for that mans
defense. And then some.
I also believe he should do some stiff jail time. Intentionally trying to
ruin a mans life in order to further your political agenda or beliefs
should be a felony. Period. The spoken word has destroyed more people
through time than any gun ever could.
I can respect somebody’s opposing political views, and welcome them because
that’s the only way you’re doing to refine your opinion. But when somebody
is willing to destroy your life and the life of your entire family just
because they disagree with you, they kind of become – for lack of a better
word – slimeball.
Don’t be a slimeball, kids.
I’d really like to have a source on this article.
Arrest the prosecutor and the “eye witness” on charges of unlawful
imprisonment and attempting to deny a US citizen his rights under the 2nd,
6th, and 8th Amendments. Make an example out of them.
This could be any kind of crime. The last time I had legal trouble a judge
knowingly and obviously lied and completely fabricated legal documents. The
cops knew this. The county attorney knew this. Everyone new it, but
defended the judge. My attorney had the cops called on him because he got
so mad during a meeting at the courthouse where he vehemently called them
out for their corruption.
I don’t see America as a free place anymore. Not when a judge can make
stuff up and when the rest of the legal system supports it. I eventually
had my case dismissed. Not after $1000 in legal fees, though. (I got off
cheap on that one!) I wanted to sue the judge personally, and she was
served papers to that effect, but the cost of confronting the courts is
exorbitant, so we settled. I wussed out on that one. Still regret backing
off even though it was the right decision.
There was a study here in California that.. these college students were
signing petitions to LITERALLY have ALL law abiding gun owners executed.
Anti-gunners are actually alot more evil than any gun owner I’ve ever
seen.
And they say us pro gun guys are the bad guys. This makes me sick. I’m
glad I don’t know or live near any anti-gun nuts. These anti-gun nuts with
their anti-gun agendas are IMO worse than the mass shooters we have.
Making innocent people who protect themselves/their families the bad guys
should be a crime.
Personally I think any time a prosecutor brings charges and fails to get a
conviction the state should reimburse the defendant, that would cut down on
these prosecutors throwing a bunch of shit at the wall to see what sticks..
They should also be held liable when they wrongly convict someone and send
them to prison because they withheld evidence from the defense. In those
cases the prosecutor should have to serve the remainder of the wrongfully
convicted sentence.
False imprisonment in Florida is a 3rd Degree Felony, punishable by a term
of not less than one and not more than five years. The “witness” who
perjured himself and the overjealous prosecutor should be sharing a cell.
THANK YOU for addressing this overlooked but critically important topic.
I’m now starting to research different insurance options. Has anyone here
actually had to use their USCCA insurance? I’ve heard that they only pay
after you’re acquitted so you still have to put up the bulk of your defense
fees yourself.
This is precisely how some elements pursue their agenda, not only with gun
rights but others as well.
I hope that eye witness gets sued in civil court and prosecuted in criminal
court. .
Thanks for some excellent advice.
the system sucks!
Very true. Been a member for 2 yrs

There should be charges of false arrest. The “witness” was borderline
attempting murder by giving false testimony.
What if the guy had been found guilty and executed (No idea if WA even has
a death penalty) but just theorizing here.
“Eye witness” should be in prison for perjury. Prosecuting attorney needs
to be disbarred for life.

I completely agree!

I seriously hope this eye witness get prosecuted. Or that the former Marine
sues him!

Was the “eye witness” arrested for perjury?

Do the lawyers get more money from dragging a case out for a year? There
we go.
Prosecuting Attorneys are more concerned with winning then with justice.

Great advise!
Anyone have a link to news coverage? Or did they bury that last bit pretty
deep?
Did you have to pay for that shirt?
would he be able to sue the so called witness for lying to recoup he legal
fees?
Great point! I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry.

wow, i never heard of ins. like this b4 but also a gd idea ty yankee
From a psychological aspect it is said that even someone being an eye
witness is not credible for many reasons such as this.
The prosecutor should be fired immediately!
Is it considered self defense if you shoot a witness like this?
Technically, you are protecting yourself…Man, I wish stupid people would
wear signs.
I know exactly why the PA’s do it! Job security for DOUCHEBAGS!!
That prosecutor should be charges with malicious prosecution, or at a
minimum..disbarred!
Personally I think any time a prosecutor brings charges and fails to get a

My policy is with Second Call. Affordable and even in a clear cut self
defense situation, you’ll be glad you have experts to assist you.
