Saoirse Ronan Leaves Male Stars SPEECHLESS With Viral Response To Self-Defense Joke

Saoirse Ronan is going viral for shutting down a joke about self-defense, highlighting to several famous men the dangers women face. The actress appeared on “The Graham Norton Show” on Oct. 25 alongside actors Denzel Washington, Eddie Redmayne and Paul Mescal. The now-viral moment happened after Redmayne explained that while training for a role, he learned to use his cell phone as a weapon if he was ever attacked. Mescal and host Graham Norton then started joking back and forth that they wouldn’t think to use their phones in case of danger. “If someone actually attacked me, I’m not going to go ‘phone,’” Mescal said, while mimicking pulling out his phone from his pants pocket. After the comment Ronan chimed in, “That’s what girls have to think about all the time.” » SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiKGMZZmZXK-RpbKJGXgH3Q?sub_confirmation=1 » Visit Our Website: http://accessonline.com Get More Access : Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/accesshollywood/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/accesshollywood Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/accesshollywood/ #AccessHollywood #SaoirseRonan “Access Hollywood” is an entertainment news show featuring Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Scott Evans, and correspondent Zuri Hall. Saoirse just made valid point in the middle of very boring male banter. They didnt mean harm, but they maybe lack the insight into the half of the population and also dont bother too much. To be honest, they try to resonate in their movie characters. But, movies are not life, and in the talk shows, maybe less "me so jolly bloke" vibes. Violence agains women is an issue and everyone can bring it up as they feel like.

This is very true, The world was safer for men when they kept making phones smaller and smaller, but now they keep getting bigger and bigger. Now men too have to worry about being assaulted with a phone. That's why a lot of men don't attack android users anymore, the weapons are too dangerous.

Hanna in sleeper-celeb mode.

Two of those guys..don’t know about Mescal…. have daughters. and when dads understand what their little girls will always have to face…yeah her remarks silenced them. they were joking in the manner of teenagers and it got real.

 @CATDHD Thanks, you just reinforced my point . . . you reflexively responded to my comment and the point of Ronan's comment from a guys pov – I think the girls call it mansplaining . The type of thr*at women have persistently faced for centuries and are now instinctively conditioned to consider and prepare for mentally and emotionally is one that MOST men don't have to consider and so is not on our radar – unless they're in a prison shower room, get it? No argument that men prep themselves or have an expectation of possible competitive or substance-fuelled d*ck-measuring gladiatorial combat WITH OTHER MEN! But that is not the subject underpinning her comment or mine. Or are you actually saying that you constantly prepare for the same type of danger and thr*at that women face from men?

@Michael-kc2vj says:

Leave it to women to take a perfectly fun moment and turn it into their constant victimization. Does she or anyone here really think men dont already know this? What a buzzkill and weak attempt at being socially aware. This is what the right is talking about when they say the left has to act woke all the time. The obsession with being preachy and self-righteous about social issues all the time is exhausting.

@acapellaneat says:

Storm in a teacup if you ask me. I've just read a useless op-ed in the guardian about this video, and let's say that it's still a mystery to me how something suddenly goes viral and becomes the talk of the town. Next.

@mollykate.99 says:

I'm sorry but she acted like they were dissing her as a woman and they clearly weren't. This is a cringe response regardless if what she said was accurate.

@benjaminharman1987 says:

Remember, she played Hanna, so she can kick all their arses with both hands tied behind her back.

@justinebaker6491 says:

100% it's about time men started realizing this is a norm for women crossing a parking lot at night or w a lking home from the bus.. it is never out of our heads to be vigilant and alert. Men have no idea!

@HE-dz5xx says:

You are right, Saoirse.

@patriciamulcahy6635 says:

Just brilliant

@jdchsdjhj says:

You don’t have to be Einstein to work out why it’s no longer safe for women .. ⛴️
