I was always taught to wait for your back-up to arrive before getting out of the car to confront the suspect on a call that you know from dispatch that the guy is armed. I live in San Diego and the P.D. makes many 'rookie' mistakes. The officer kept backing up far too much and could have tripped or been attacked from behind.
Not only was the cop in NO wrongdoing, he actually should have shot the fucker AGES ago. Hey, here's an idea: if you don't want to be shot by cops, don't walk towards them with weapons. WOW!! SO REVOLUTIONARY
It's just odd, the same staten "yes California" says a guy who splits open another guys head with a bike lock should only get 4 months of probation, but….. I would just like to see consistent enforcement of the law.
Was the officer required to use tazer first? After all he is in California? I admire and respect the officer for going to extreme measures to preserve life. I believe he would of been justified to have gone to his gun first.
This man gave him too long to drop the chain, too many chances, and too many commands. He obviously didn't want to pop him. Me personally, woulda popped him 1 at bc the distance i had.
Cop gave more than ample warning and a chance for the guy to surrender……..Cop Not Guilty Of Anything, in fact he should be commended for trying to save the guy's life.
I realize that they are required to evaluate each police action shooting for legal reasons, but how could it possibly require more than five seconds to call this a 100% justified shooting? Seriously, whatever happened to good old fashioned common sense?
My second best moment in my life was moving to California.. my first best me moment was move out of California

The extreme hesitation to shoot comes from the fear of being wrongly prosecuted.
Why in America people never listen cops instructions when they are held at gun point???
He wanted it ………….. and got it.
It looks like he came dangerously close to shooting his backup. They were rolling up behind the perp when he opened fire.

"Trump is the devil" ? Did I hear that right?
I feel for the officer

Kudos to this officer! He exhausted every single option he had before executing lethal force.

His backup was going to run the suspect over. You can tell by their speed.
Definitely looks like suicide by cop.

Yeah. This was not a guy reaching for a black cellphone in his waistband who gets blown to pieces. He tried a taser first, too. Good job
