In this case he had time to open that back hatch and grab a rifle or shotgun, that would of been ideal. Police should carry a slung rifle during all encounters IMO.
The importance of weak-hand practice is on display here. The officer did a great job. I find no fault with him. However, I can't help but feel he would have been better served shooting with his weak hand than with a mangled primary hand.
When the officer asked the driver to exit the vehicle and he didn’t comply,he could of headed back towards the back of there vehicle, stab or shoot the tires out, wait for back up to arrive while secured behind his patrol car. No training
Yeah after being non compliant for over a minute and all the fidgeting and talking back up should have been called in the middle of all that although probably wouldn't have been there in time
I literally live down the street from where this happened. The drivers name is Sammi he was going to die that die either from the officer or the passenger. Long story short the driver used to be friends with the passengers but they had a falling out. His family said he had went to go pay bills at the local H-E-B but in the video he was going the wrong way so the family believes that the passengers were holding him hostage to take him to execute him. There’s a memorial at the spot where Sammi was shot and killed.
No, he’s stupid for blindly shooting without having a target, and lacking complete control of the firearm. Also, yanking on the door to pull the suspect out, without having backup, was also stupid. There are residences directly in the line of fire! There are people in the vehicle who weren’t shooting back! This is a clear example of what police should NOT do! There are no experts on this type of thing, just opinions and suggestions. The best solution is always the one where nobody gets hurt if no one’s life is in immediate danger. Obviously, criminals don’t like cops! Don’t antagonize them and expect compliance! Do better! Ultimately, this officer put himself and other people in danger! No, I don’t pity him! 🤷🏿♂️
One Less waste of space
Another two bite the dust! This is disgusting and needs to stop. God protect our LEOs
Bang bang bang, I shoot in the air to kill, no whatever what's going on…
