Just know idk how it is in your state but here in michigan you leave car running and it gets stolen you get ticketed and possible charges and if something happens causs you left it running your charged so I advise don't do it not to long ago a guy started his car in winter to warm it up ot got stolen dude committed a crime with it and dude got into alot of shit
The timings "draw to first shot" are not necessarily representative of what could have occurred. The bad guy might speed up his actions if he saw the defender going to draw. Against what the bad guy believes is an unarmed defender he can be much more deliberate in his draw.
Most people think they have a keyfob that needs to be present to start the car so that nobody can steal the car while running if they don't have the keyfob. You only need that keyfob to start the car. Once it is running you can chuck it out window and drive that car till you run out of gas. As long as you don't hit stop engine you don't need a keyfob while the car is running.

Leaving your car running is plain stupid, and insurance won’t cover if it’s stolen with the keys in the ignition
