Perfect handgun for self-defense

Something to think about when you want to use conceal carry. Why I carry a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhK7TU9X8g4 an unlisted video. http://www.NoStressM…

Kent Nauman says:

If you get hit in the side the bullet can pass through the mediastinum and
both lungs. How about a 800 lumen tactical flashlight and Mace which can
be drawn just as soon as you sense the possibility of trouble? Also only
the police do fire fights near me and they prefer unarmed car thieves and
~137 shots to kill them. They also bash drunk women’s heads into car hoods
to stun her before breaking her elbow.

Michael Lawson says:

I agree with your techniques. There are more than one effective technique,
so those who are arguing with you are quibbling. It is what the individual
is most comfortable with that they need to use, but it is always a good
idea to present as small of a target as possible. The Glock does have a
advantage with the safety. but I am a 1911 man, based mainly on many years
of training in 30 years in the military, and sentimentality. I have a
special love for the old 1911. I don’t think that I am at any disadvantage,
since I automatically thumb the safety off while drawing the weapon. My EDC
weapon is a Kimber Ultra Carry ii. Late in my Army career, I was issued the
M-9, which I think is a fine weapon, but I don’t like the 9 mm over the 45,
plus the M-9 is too big for effective CC. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

You got some mega huevos, amigo.

Not8upwthit says:

Bam-oo I got ya LOL ! Really good video and I believe you mentioned more
than a few valid points. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a sense of
humor…I learned a long time ago the real laid back guys (like you) are
the ones you want to watch.

Tim Dailey says:

Screw you if anyone want to learn how not to do things they need to watch
this if they want to see how to do things the right way they are better off
lookin else where

Tom Nelson says:

For me, where I live and my lifestyle my off duty carry has mostly become
the S&W Model 640-1 snub nose J frame revolver & every now and then my S&W
Model 60 Pro with 3″ barrel. Thanks for this and all your good videos.

Matthew Smith says:

Police and military are taught to stand square to their target because if
they turned sideways to their target their body armor would not be
effective.

resculptit says:

You’re crazy

glesgason says:

mike,Im intrigued why you live in guatemala, it would appear that it is
more dangerous there than usa,im from canada, rather safe most places

Tim Dailey says:

hey dumb fuck you NEVER just pull a gun out and shoot you always want to
make sure of your target and what your gonna hit you dont want to take the
chance of hitting someone else, you just need to shut the fuck up, anyone
can tell you have no idea what your talkin about

glesgason says:

I apologize for for my comment mike, wasnt fully listening to you,was
influenced by some other comments I watched some other videos and you have
some good points

glesgason says:

wow this guy is retarted

B. Hudson says:

Why do your answers keep returning to “authority” and “listening well to
others?” I am talking about survival techniques on the street or anywhere
threats exists. You talk around the subject and give no straight forward
answers. Not professional.

pisgahnf says:

As a retired Law Enforcement Officer and current fulltime self defense and
Firearms Instructor and Military Veteran I find your instruction to be
flawed and dangerous.
If anyone needs quality instruction, seek out someone who has the proper
skills.
Their are ample civilian trainers who will be willing to help,
NoStressMike might be a nice guy but his advice is mostly wrong and taking
his advice could get you killed.

Don Russell says:

u r about 40 years out of date with that “how to” info. :-)

nostressmike says:

In Guatemala where it is illegal to have a gun, but the rich and criminals
always have guns. In my case a solid gold necklace opens doors of
opportunity, but if they find it on me it is at lease 8 years in jail. If I
don’t have it I will die. I have used it twice in Guatemala, but never had
to shoot anyone, yet. One was “Me, John Wayne, Hero” video

fjordking says:

great video where is this filmed not in north america? you don’t have to
answer if you wish thanks

awgilliam says:

Muzzle sweep of camera man at 4:47

Mark Wright says:

….Mike I would just add I can understand and appreciate your philosophy
for sure…and your experience but I think in fairness to me you should
actually ADDRESS the points I raised….e.g. why no proving safe? Why wave
around a gun in a fairly public place? Why no stress on finger off trigger?
Why no stress on making sure you do not injure anyone else in the line of
fire? In Florida drawing a firearm “just in case” can land you in jail too
(unfair maybe – but still true).

nostressmike says:

First I do not teach gun safety classes at all. If you don’t know gun
safety you should not handle a gun, watching my videos, TV, or the movies,
all will get you in trouble. All I teach is tactics that work and I use,
any one of my videos does not make sense. But when you put them together
you have a plan that will keep you alive &well I teach manners, human
behavior, gold, bribing, organizing 3 man militias, weapon handling in
combat &more for the end goal your personal safety

nostressmike says:

I am not worried about liability when I shoot someone, I have not done
anything wrong. I have no one to answer to but my God. I do not ask for
trouble and when it comes to me I know I am prepared to die, but will I
fight back. I have to make you think you are going to die before I will
live Gun safety is practiced at the range and when you don’t want to shoot
you friends or yourself I am by myself or standing in front of my friends
(no one hurts my friends either) Focus on your tactics

nostressmike says:

Do you know you sound like a policeman (liability)? All legal talk. There
is no law when someone is doing something bad. I was charged when I shoot
the gang in the robbery. I was the 1st person to use CC to stop a crime in
progress in the state of Kansas. I did the right thing At the monument of
SD nothing else means anything but living one more minute I am concerned
about stopping the threat only not the legal problems. That is SD

nostressmike says:

You won’t get abilities and experience until you have a plan to work on (I
share ideas to form a plan). Your goal should be to find tactics that work
and practice those tactics. Most people think a gun is a tactic. The guy
that shoot Gifford probably only shoot her & security shoot everyone else.
There was much confusion & we will not see the video. The shooter will get
credit for all the dead and wounded

Mark Wright says:

Are you worried about the liability of accidentally shooting the wrong
person though? If not you should be – it’s not an irrelevant consideration.
As a cop it was upper most in our thinking – fine shoot and kill the bad
guy – no problem – but there was NO WAY you wanted to injure an innocent
bystander – not just legally but also just as a matter of your job being to
“Serve and Protect”. .

Mark Wright says:

Sorry but nothing in your reply makes me withdraw any of my comments. It
maybe fine for you Mike if you have that experience and training – BUT the
point is you are directing this video out there into cyber space – so you
CANNOT assume folks watching have your experience or ability – so just as
one example keeping your finger off the trigger when drawing a hot semi
auto or when returning it to the holster certainly IS something you should
be mentioning don’t you think? READ what I said!

Mark Wright says:

But you ARE teaching LOTS of inexperienced people by having it on the net
my friend!

Mark Wright says:

“I am always out numbered and out gunned” you say. HOW do you get yourself
into these jams Mike???

Mark Wright says:

Mike I agree – who cares if the bad guy trying to kill you dies? Not me.
But what I am saying is that you still DO need to be conscious of
bystanders even as a civilian acting in justified self defence. AND even as
a civilian you still need to quickly and accurately assess if you are
JUSTIFIED in shooting a perp – otherwise you could end up being the one
charged. Not fair BUT the reality like it or not. While I agree it is
“better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6” better to be “justified”.

nostressmike says:

My gun does not come out until I am ready to shoot (rather you see it our
not, draw under my shirt), I don’t like safeties because it takes to much
time to shoot, and my finger is the safety (when my gun is drawn it is on
the trigger, I am ready to shoot) From my shooting I learned (2007), who
starts the illegal act is responsible for all getting shoot At
Congresswoman Ms. Giffords shooting one man did not shoot all of those
people When my life is in danger, I am not safe, I am dangerous

nostressmike says:

I teach “Weapons Handling” as in tactics, why & how I don’t teach the
inexperienced people (don’t know any enough), police, body guards, bounty
hunters, some military (they have rules of engagement to deal with), &
hunter (tactics only they know their weapons) That is why I do & teach
concealed carry tactics, when you see my gun someone is going to get shoot,
no fight or chance to lose my gun “overwhelming offense is the best defense”

nostressmike says:

I am into EXTREME self-defense, I am always out numbered & out gunned. The
only advantages I have is speed & surprise form the ones that don’t know me
I wear a shirt or have my hat covering my weapon & the ones that know me
know when I am preparing for combat by watching my hands I have drawn my
weapon numerous times, just in case, prepared to shoot people over 2 dozen
times (most of the time they didn’t see the gun), & have shoot once since
my military combat and deputy sheriff days (pre 30 YO)

nostressmike says:

None of my SD situations I had 10 of my friends armed, with back up, and a
support team (legal, emotional, first aide, and more) Police do what they
are told and trained In SD I teach to do the right thing only, you have to
live with yourself (the rewards or the penalty) If you thought you would
get killed going to work would you go? In SD if I thought there might be
trouble I would not go, if you did it is not SD Miami PD tried to impound
my dog when I drove through, I did nothing wrong (my SD)

nostressmike says:

Ken, I keep a round in the chamber all the time, otherwise I will forget to
put one in. And in the back of my mind I will be wondering if I loaded it
or not. I don’t like safeties they slow me down I can get 2-4 shoots off in
about a second Read comments below, I don’t practice safety other then my
own. I teach extreme self-defense, meaning extreme danger. All I do is show
others some of what I do I hope no one will ever need to do what I do, but
it works There was no one behind the camera

nostressmike says:

I am not a policeman, someone is getting ready to hurt me. Most of the time
that doesn’t happen in a crowded mall, I am some place where they think
there is no witnesses. That is way I don’t teach police, they don’t think
self-defense (SD). They think work & liability When I was teaching SWAT
they said “We will go home tonight” That is not SD. I will die in the next
few seconds if I don’t react now. When I shoot I don’t care if the bad guy
dies or not as long as long as the threat stops is SD

nostressmike says:

My website and work says a lot about me, nostressmike.c I have lived in
Guatemala for 10 years Down here police, military, gangs, drug cartel, and
bad guys are generally the same thing and I have to deal with them daily
Next week I will be driving back to the US which is an adventure in itself
I am a travel companion, I escort people to places most don’t want to go to
As a child to 25 YO I was the subject to racial riots and USMC Vietnam
combat vet at 18 I know and understand violence

Mark Wright says:

No I agree – I can see you do NOT teach gun safety Mike! But the thing is
you say you teach “weapons handling” – HOW can this be divorced from “gun
safety”. My view is that what you are teaching is “problematic” for the
inexperienced person out there. Also you say perps want to take a weapon
from Police but not an armed member of the public? NONSENSE. Both Police
and a member of the public who has a weapon on display (either in a holster
or drawn) is at risk of having their gun taken.
