John I drive a city bus. People who ride are mostly good but there are those who are mentally ill or just angry people. I encounter people from just rolling their eyes at me for no reason to people high on PCP. I've been in several situations and thankfully my verbal skills training have saved me. Our agencies policy is for us to not get out of our seat or they see us as the aggressor even if we are being attacked. This is obviously horrible for us drivers. What about us staying alive? I'd rather be looking for a job and still alive than dead and following policy. Legally, at what point can I pepper spray/punch to defend my safety? (Not allowed to carry guns) I am not going to sit there and let someone kill me or injure me. Unfortunately, our agency does not back us up when things happen. Several weeks ago a bus driver was sucker punched and was literally blind for 3 days. Months back, another was stabbed in the neck. Last week a passenger grabbed a drink from a homeless man and threw it in a drivers face. People can't just get on, ride and get off. They have to be seen and argue. It's a very dangerous and stressful job. I also know some pre-attack indicators which have saved me. Thanks to you. But I really get scared sometimes and just dont know what Texas allows now a days.
I wouldnt charge her,she was taking a monkey stompin and put those cretins on the road.she couldnt know who was armed and had the right to put down the threat.imo.leave her be.
Even after what happened at the walmart yesterday you post a video of a shooting in a walmart?? I thought you had a 72 hour policy after shootings or something like that?

She was found not guilty. This happened where i live. She won the criminal case but theres still the civil case.

I'd say she has a right to make sure the coast is clear. She can't comfortably leave the scene without seeing if the threat has left.
