Steve P says:

if that was philly the cops have a obligation to continue firing until dead

MATT says:

Why are all you illiterate people saying my bad, instead of it's my fault, it doesn't sound (COOL), it makes you sound dumb , like a 5 year old who hasn't grasped the ability to make a complete sentence 🤔 strange.

jeffgawne says:

The cop who backed off actually unholstered his weapon. And – guess what – when you are off-duty…you're still ON duty. That cop was just not ready when the moment came.

PsychicX720 says:

Should have given him the temp challenge

chocboywunda says:

Suicide by cop

Subaru Thug says:

If the guy still had a knife in his hand, why would the cops have gone close enough to be sliced?
Surely just let him bleed out from the gunshot wounds, rather than try and help him if he didn't want them near him?

I'm sorry but I humbly, and slightly disagree.
I feel as a person with decent training, and always ready with my various tools, skills, and knowledge that I have some form of duty to the unwitting public to at least be there to help in some manor.
If that means drawing them my way and dispatching them as needed, or even possibly being injured in said altercation.

We all train for a purpose.
That purpose used to be so that as warriors we could exist in peace with the gardeners. But at any time be prepared to go to war and defend those gardeners.

Ones duty and morality to defend shouldn't just end with the few you like.

If more, or all of us stand up to these things, it will discourage future attempts.

If we didn't prosecute, but instead exalted those who reasonably defend themselves and others, and do away with this "let someone else deal with it" mind-set, perhaps the perpetrators will think twice.
After all, "an armed society, is a polite society."

Francis Brown says:

Just for those who think that the law degree they have from reading the back of your Cornflake box means you can do what you like …. Well some day you might just meet some one who thinks different to you …

KingCurticus says:

That first cop might have been a security guard at some building in the area… He just didn't react like a REAL cop.

Reema Tigga says:

why is he alive again ?

El CID says:

What?? Drop the pastrami sandwich?? Oh hellllll no!!!!!!

sansara lopez says:

Antes de saber que México es negociable

Mary says:

John this is right outside the police station in Coney Island

Clark Tapia says:

Never bring a knife to a gun fight.

Soheil Abdein says:

At the end he got the free parking spot in the prison.

Joe D says:

This happened in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Cowboy says:

He must have had a damn good lunch to keep that in his hand

Cowboy says:

Screw the government if I lived in New York I'm carrying something to defend myself and family and even those around me. The Second Amendment does not go away because you're in New York. I would rather be alive or keep somebody else alive and deal with the aftermath in court then be buried Six Feet Under

Rif Leman says:

"The perp is facing charges." Shot 4 times and he is facing charges. Once again 9mm feminstrates it's "superiority" to 45 ACP.

Be Better says:

How's that backdrop though? Glad the strays missed.

Joe Miller says:

This really is a good channel to show just how quickly and chaoticly situations like this go down. I mean all those people walking around and the cars as well. Hard to tell who's the threat.

Brian West says:

Does an off-duty cop in uniform have the same protections as an on-duty cop? He probably doesn't have a badge cam. If he gets injured, will he get any employment benefits such as workers compensation? I would hope that he would be treated as if he was on duty but I bet that he wouldn't. Then imagine if this went bad and he shot a bystander. Will the family be suing the city or only him personally?

BRUTUS says:

3 shots in the pelvis and then getting off the x… using the dumpster would have been a better play instead of backing straight up… those 2 missed shots could have been bad.

But that being said… in a stressful situation… this officer did amazingly well!! It is Sooooo hard to think under pressure.

Jeremy Ho says:

This is why I hate city living.
