When so close to the perp, do you need to fire three times, if the idea is to do enough to stop the threat but give the person a higher chance of survival?
The poor mentally ill citizen comes down the stairs with a tiny knife and NO mention of him having a firearm or even close to obtaining one so after Tazer was ineffective and retreating backwards this officer murders this citizen? It was clearly NOT required and is yet another reason USA police officers are as well trained as a boy scout. The officer who murdered this citizen should be charged with 1st degree murder. This was disgusting to watch such a coward kill someone who had even mentioned he wanted to die. So the murdering officer gives the mentally ill citizen his wish? The USA law enforcement should hang their cowardly heads in shame at this one. Totally outrageous!
Tasers are crap. A good strong oc spray would have taken all the "GET UP AND GO" outta him. And he'd still be alive. Police really need to employ good oc spray much more often tasers really are crap compared to a great oc spray. I have a Taser but use oc spray like 100% of the time. And it does great 100% of the time.
Are you telling me those two men couldn't whoop that fat man's ass. Shooting this fat boy was a waist of ammunition. All he had was a short knife. A kitchen freaking butter knife. No offense but these officers should look for work elsewhere. They did not have to kill this guy. I'm a security guard and I'm listened to because of the manner in which I speak my words. These two probably aren't in trouble but if they can't manhandle an out of shape young guy they shouldn't be officers. Just my opinion……..GODSPEED ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Not getting enough funding?…get that BS outta here. PD has had plenty of funding but they don't spend it in the right places. We have a militarized police force not an educated or compassionate one. Start educating LEOs instead of buying new toys and looking at the public as profits to be gained with tickets and ticket and ticket s then we'll talk about bigger funding from taxpayers. Deputies as a whole don't even know peoples rights or even the constitution they took an oath too. I'm not against bigger funding for PD but there should be oversight of the PD, a separate department that goes after officer misconduct not the crooked Internal Affairs each department has.
Coming from a construction perspective. There should be handrails. Something tells me the unstable residents ripped them off, changing compliance to the other wall or simply move in damage (couch took it out, unlikely with the open space to rotate above.) Or overthinking….
