City of Marshfield Police Department says:

Thanks for the "share" and flattering assessment. We agree with your comment on body cameras – in that they allow us to show the MANY times where the CIRCUMSTANCES allow us time to handle a situation this way. We (along with the subject) were fortunate in that the timing, along with his degree of non-compliance, did not escalate the situation and force other force options. On the other side of the coin – the officers were also prepared for him to drop the knives and be taken into custody with no force being used. We would have been even happier with that outcome.

Matthew Fish says:

These are the videos the news should show. Good job officers. Show both not just one side. We have officers that care.

MilesBellas says:

Bolawrap100 would be better

Kareem Simmons says:

Lets use the bean bag challenge on black ppl🤔

Callmeappa - AOSM says:

I wish more police were like this, but sadly most escalate to leathal force right of the bat in situations they shouldn't involve it.

JackSpeed 439 says:

They just did their job. Nothing was above and beyond as they had beanbag, dog and taser to use prior to pistol. So in the end they just used their tools AKA their job.

Ricky's VisionTV says:

Lovely work by all the officers..

SlickDawg says:

Had he been black this video would’ve been different

xL Lx says:

That's funny cuz if he was black you be shot dead the same scenario a black man with a knife he would have been shot dead I just don't get it

Dale Fry says:

How many times have we seen this exact scenario unfold ending in a barrage of gunshots? Nice to see how true pros handle the situation!
Pat should consider himself lucky he is not in NYC or LA.

Fil Solano says:

I’d like to get shot with a bean bag round just for shits and giggles. I’ve gotten hit voluntarily both with frozen paint balls and a taser just to see what it feels like.
