Don't be afraid to talk to a professional. You don't have let anyone know. From personal experience I can tell you the trauma builds and one day you are having nightmares about something that happened 20 years ago because a situation triggered your PTSD. Therapy is a tool, not a weakness.
Unfortunately, the victims are the kids. Can you imagine the kids seeing their father killing their mom and having to live with it? I’d also hate to be the cop that made the shot, or really any of the cops seeing the dude shot with a shotgun and the absolute carnage from the shotgun blast. There are many times when being a cop sucks. I have mad respect for them to risk their lives to keep us safe.
In my early days at firearm instructor school Ileatned to effectively appreciate a shotgun load od 00 buckshot and a standard slug into ballistic jelly. A slug with a smooth bore barrel with a need can still make hits at 100 yards😎😎
When our County PD started allowing weapon lights in 2008 we had to sign an agreement that we wouldn’t use the weapon light if we didn’t need the weapon 😎😎
It's the pain the kids carry into the future that worries me. Will they hate police from this? Will they ever think that the world can be peaceful? The trauma from this is crazy huge. Jesus, help these kids!
Legal analysis aside (and totally justified), you did the world a service that day. You have nothing to regret or be ashamed of. If you need to talk about it with someone, don't hesitate. Find peace with your actions if you haven't already. Thank you.
And the caution warning at the beginning of the video was for WHAT ????? … Oh okay … I see … Some people get really squeamish when they see a shotgun “pointed at a perp” !!! ….. Gotcha. 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
Gentlemen, thanks for posting this. Tragedy all around. Although I'm not a LEO, after watching many of your videos, I agree that the use of taser was not only unnecessary at that point, but could have impaired the officer's ability to stop the perp. I've seen other videos where I wished the LEOs would have used non-lethal sooner rather than later, but in this case, non-lethal was way too late.
God those poor kids!! JESUS THEY ARE GONNA HAVE TO DEAL WITH ALOT!! 😖 I hope to god they can get through this and be ok in the long run! Praying for them for sure! Glad the dick who did this to them is DEFINITELY burning in hell now!
As far as lighting is concerned I think it is much better to have one mounted on one's forehead. A gun mounted light only lights up beyond the gun. A forehead mounted light does that as well as lighting up the front and rear sights of the gun making aiming at night much easier. I wear one when riding my bicycle at night. If course one could have both and that would probably be better yet.

Thank you to the officer for saving the tax payer.
Those poor kids 😭😭 I hope they have some great grandparents 🙏

Terrible situation for these officers to be in. Sorry for this family that lost a loved one.

Throwing a knife is Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer 😎😎

Way to many cops in the hallway
Don’t know how I feel about the pun in the title..

That poor kid lost both his parents that day. Beyond sad
That poor boy! God help us!
better dead than in jail… good job officers.
Don’t marry wicked people. Better to be alone with a dog than divorced with a motel room

If the Officer needs psychological therapy, imagine what the kid who just lost both parents needs..SMH

"…and there is no way to live through that."
I feel sorry for the kids. Both of their parents died the same day.
