John, you keep saying pepper spray. But it looks like the owner didn't have pepper spray and he didn't have a gun. What he had was a knife and that's what he used for self-defense. Pepper spray would have been better unless the thief had a lethal weapon. A gun would have been better because he could have brandished it to end the threat unless the thief had a gun and shot first. He had a knife and he used it to end the perceived threat to his life. If the thief hadn't jumped the counter he wouldn't have been stabbed. Don't blame the shop owner.
A reasonable person would have expected to be shot dead if he had threatened with the knife as John advised. You have to assume 2 men in ski masks in July in Nevada are a deadly threat the second they enter the shop. When one of the men jumps the counter it's no different than a home invasion! I'm glad to see that the bodega owner and this young man are not willing to bow down to counter jumpers who display felonious intent! There is zero chance a Nevada jury would convict this dude for an obvious case of self defense. Our society is sick for even entertaining the idea of charging men like Rittenhouse, Bodega Owner, or this guy. Laws need to stop protecting the predators and start protecting the innocent!
This is bullshit. Now every guy who works behind a counter must be perfect in his moral decisions and executions under every conceivable possibility? We're going to have every lawyer now chime in and decide what his life outcome is going to be?! Hypocrites. So fed up with what's going on in our country.

The second guy in place was punching store owner back also he did stop when he got him in choke hold i think it justified in most cases as they were trespassing after he asked them to leave and protecting himself and property but do not know Nevada law enough just stay quiet and lawyer up in any state though!!!!

What he did know was that, this was a robbery in progress, and as you always say John, "look for your counter ambush".
