The coward cop who shot the woman while trying to shoot a dog that likely didn't need to be shot in the first place, that guy should go to prison. There has been a trend of cops regularly shooting or shooting at pets, and that needs to stop.
backing up caused increased distance in the second video stepping in to the perp would have settled the distance leaving burn mark residues from the powder on the skin creative training in real time is key not cookie cutter once in a while review of policy
1st one is a terrible tragedy and whoever commented that 20 years ago no one would have called the cops on her, and she would still be alive. 2nd one, one of the first things we learned was to stay on the same side of the door for exactly the reason this shooting went wrong.
its imperative that all misconduct be properly stripped down and sorted out what ever the costume worn as the opportunity for learning to occur how often does friendly fire happen in civilian life when panic mixes with anger as the brew of amateurs not actually trained
Why not use tasers on dogs? They don't wear clothes. Most dogs just need a solid kick or two. Idk, I've been the bad guy in K9 training but that was a trained German Shepherd, not an everyday pet. I'm not LEO. I've never heard of a police officer dying from a dog bite, so I don't think deadly use of force on dogs is appropriate. A wolf gets it tho.
Americans always make excuses for police officers. They need more training, they only had second to think, excuses after excuses. Until they kill a member of your family, Now you want Justice. The first video, you never approach a large dog. Call for back up. The officer should have his gun, already out and side step. An officer is trained to recognize danger. A large dog is a dangerous animal. That dog was on duty and doing his or her JOB. You have to respect that. The dog was better trained, than the police officer. The second video, where was the Bat Shield?
It always bothers me so much when police shoot at dogs who are clearly not a threat. This idiot actually pulled a gun, shot it several times, killed a woman and FUCKING OBVIOUSLY wasn't even close to being mauled by a dog. Surprise, surprise.
cops really should start to get some training before they kill everyone.

Backstop, backstop, backstop….
Any encounter with police can quickly lead to your death, white and black alike
That first one is infuriating. I hope that cop is an ex cop in jail for murder.

Dogs are not a lethal threat. If you cant control a dog then you shouldn't be a cop.
Chicken shi*t cop afraid of dog and trigger happy. He should not have been a cop.
He had to take the shot on the airsoft guy, who was going after his partner with the gun. There isn't time visually process.
What a fucking dumb ass cop 🤦🏽♂️

I think it might be time for all Leo's to be trained with an RMR imo.
I had a dog attack me. I made sure my back stop was the ground. That first cop is…

Second video is from Salt Lake City not St Louis.
Wow…. I'm in shock… So much negligence.
Look at that beautiful blue sky.
