I was at this airport a week before this happened. This further cements my distain for being unarmed. I distinctly remember walking around there, and no offense to the people there, but I truly did not like not having my pistol with me. I carry everywhere i can. Unfortunately tho i spend 2/3 of my life at work on a boat,travel through some sketchy places, at some really sketchy times, i can not be armed with anything other than my pocket knife and a can do attitude. In the airports its just a can do attitude.
The airport is somewhat of a good example of what a non-Bruen world would look like. The only people armed are the police and the criminal. Luckily this officer was nearby and incredibly on-point, but if that weren’t the case, everyone else here is a defenseless target.
Great work by the officer ending a threat incredibly fast, BTW.

This is why gun free zones shouldn't exist. If everyone in that airport had a handgun this would have ended better.
