I am South African, and was in a similar situation myself a couple of years back. I was walking back home from town, I live in a small town, so the suburb I stay in is right on the edge of the CBD, and to get back home you need to walk along a highway situated near a Taxi-rank (an area that is found in every South African town and city, where public transport can be found, a place that is notorious for crime and vagrants too). As soon as I came to a bridge that cut through the highway, I was accosted by two males with one grabbing me by the pants. They both pulled out knives, and demanded the contents of my pants, and a bag that I had over my shoulder. I was in a particurlarly bad mood that day, on the account of some encounters I had with family members earlier that day, which caused me to go balistic on the two robbers, as I wasn't in the mood to give up my phone and the contents of my bag. So I grabbed one of the robbers by the collar and pushed him aside, and just continued walking while swearing at both of them profusely. Instead of stabbing me with their weapons, they seemed more confused by the fact I'd try to physically fight them, so they also continued walking off; I even turned around promising to find and kill them. They then promptly increased their pace, almost running away. I think the fact that we were on a busy highway, and the bag I had (which is one that people in South Africa often use to keep their concealed weapons in), as well as how aggressive and defiant I was towards them despite them being armed probably stunned them so much that they literally didn't know how to respond, and by the time I turned around to bash them with vulgarities they must have assumed I was armed with a gun, hence them quickly walking off. I'd be lying if I said I had a moment of reflection where I looked back on the situation and thought how differently the situation could have ended, but I can tell you that the very same highway was the scene of more than five robberies turned murders in the last year where all the victims were stabbed to death, so it definitely could have gone the other way.
Nobody in my house is allowed to wear any earbuds in public. Its not only about self defense. Why would you completely block one of your senses in public?
John?
You look healthy.
Good for you.
Stay that way.
Go to robbing class mates 😂

why can't people export the security camera file and upload that instead of using a smartphone to record a TV screen, ug
He’s lucky his resistance didn’t get him shot. Resist fully or comply fully.
1:05 jason bourne would have shoved the guy closest to him in front of that car and booked it lol
Señor John you looking great
Where did this incident occur? They never said on the video. I'm assuming it's some third world country.
Victim tries that that with Chicago thugs and he's done for.
No means no! You bad robbers!!😂😂🤣🤣😅😅😆😆😂😂
Lazy John Wick
"this is not the victim you're looking for"
"….you sure? mmm okay, this is not the victim we're looking for"
Those have to be the worst thieves I’ve ever seen.
John: “So it would seem.”
Victim cashed in all of his Karma cards that day. Hope he realizes the next time will be with no karma cards up his sleeve. Thanks for sharing.
