I'm 70 years old. I've lived all over the U.S., in inner cities, suburbs, and rural towns. I have never needed a gun. If I'd been drafted, that might have changed, but I wasn't. Somebody stole a calculator from me one time at school. I never found out who it was, but I wouldn't have shot them, anyway. I'm wondering if some of us are simply better at evolution than the gun nuts are.

Crazy that this guy was ready for a gunfight first thing in the morning leaving for work.

It always makes it easier to breath when you know scum like this isnt using the same air as you anymore

This is a good call out for a subcompact like the Ruger LCP MAX. It's small so you can carry it consistently, and is 10+1.

If I knew I was in a gunfight I'd avoid it if I could, if not use a long gun, and if that isn't available I'd use a full size duty pistol. However I know myself well enough that I don't want to carry a 1911, Glock 17/19 etc so a compromise must be made.

Regardless of the armchair quarterbacking, this guy did one heck of a job.

I’m assuming that living in South Africa is is a daily lesson in situational awareness in and of itself.

RussellGraz says:

If this guy hesitated a single second, he would have lost. A wonderful performance. In the 1990`s South Africa, when I was still living there, my CZ75 was under my right leg, cocked and locked but this guy was quick, he is well trained. I guess he does this for a living.

FIGNAS83 says:

California only allows 10 rounds though 😐

On the man shooting across his windshield. One point is you can make good hits that way. Anyone who's shot from a car seat knows this. For a couple years we did that sort of training back in the 70's just mostly for fun but we could hit a twenty five gallon barrel constantly from thirty feet from either passenger or drivers side of the car. If the car isn't moving it makes a wonderfully stable 'rest' position. Try it at your local range. Sit in a chair and try your usual shots. Standing sucks. Sideway shooting is actually easy. Again, try it.
Two and this is the biggest thing I see misunderstood by people criticizing that kind of shooting is the real truth, that 99% of rounds fired in actual combat are what are called 'suppression fire' or un-aimed fire.
Also called area suppression it means you throw lead in that general direction to make the other guy not fire at you. Suppressing him. No one wants to stand up and walk into fire, no one wants to take careful aim when rounds are bouncing around him.
Civilians are accountable for every round fired.
Police 'spray' at the bad guy, knowing every time their gun goes off the bad guy flinches, ducks or runs.
Military 'hose' fire.
Think eye dropper for civilian, garden hose for cop, firehose for military. It's in direct proportion to personal responsibility for your actions.
In the video the man had a perfect backstop, a bullet proof wall running the length of the street. This man knew what he was doing and I would suggest he had military experience.

First one drops like a ragdoll lol.
