Attitude. Skills. Plan.
Put yourself on this side of the door. It doesn't matter that they are cops and didn't announce themselves as such. You're all getting hung up on that because you're hood rats and hate law enforcement. I could walk up to his door carrying a weapon and knock on it without saying what my name is. It's the fact that he had the gun clearly visible in his hand and it's the first thing anyone is going to see when the door is opened. That's NOT how you start an interaction with someone. If you're not sure who it is and don't wanna take the risk, don't open the door. If someone tries to kick it down, then you have every right to use the weapon. On a side note while I'm thinking about it. Maybe if half the American population wasn't so braindead, it wouldn't be necessary to carry a gun on you all the time.
Cops are 100% in the wrong they didn't announce themselves. Also — the guy never raised his gun. It's good nobody got hurt but the cop that shot should be prosecuted.
Sheesh… Terrible on both sides. Sucks the man can't safely open his door with a weapon and sucks the officers can't safely and realistically judge the situation without having to act. Gray areas suck.
I've been enjoying your videos since I found them recently. However, I'm going to have to vehemently disagree with you on this one. I've seen too many videos of police shooting people in similar situations where they had absolutely no right. We literally live in a Country where you have the right to bear arms until the Goon Squad shows up and shoots you in the face for exercising that right. The police are 100% in the wrong here and I guess should be sued for nearing killing a man. Furthermore you informing the Police that they shouldn't have missed that shot, rather than something along the lines of getting out of the line of fire asap pisses me right the hell off. Yes we ask Police to go do things that the majority don't want to do, but at the end of the day you're still there to PROTECT and SERVE. Not execute because you're too dumb to do better. Thumbs down on your video, and blah to you.
Why did active self protection chop the begining of the video off? Where they bang on this dudes door and don't say it's the police? Hum kinda sus y'all where doing good
Nah f that! You don’t announce yourself as a cop? I’ll come to the door with a ak in my hand if I want too! Ps- nothing against John or active protection! The problem is the cops not announcing them selfs

This is bull crap.
Rule one.Dont knick on somebody's door and hide.
Nothing wrong with answer the door with a firearm.
cops hiding you can't see who tf is outside the door. cops are so jumpy these days what happened to those hard boiled detective cool types
You are in the full right to answer your own door with a gun in hand! these cops should be fired for endangering that man’s life!
Why defend these tyrants? Why couldn't the homeowner defend himself from people pointing guns at him and trying to shoot you?
Cops are not responsible for their decisions or where their bullets
Good thing most officers are like stormtroopers
How’s that boot taste fatty

Again, John contradicts himself lol

Wtf? 😮 who answers the door for police officers with a handgun holster that shit.😂
The cop was justified. The lesson here is don't open your door with a firearm in your hands.
where's the peephole in this guy's front door?
These coward cops never announced their presence so it’s completely their fault!!!
Glad Mike quoted Chris Rock, but I think we should call Ja Rule and get his opinion first on this issue.

This cop needs training or removed from force. That guy was in his home and has the right to be armed in his home.
I always agree with john not today
