Tim from Military Arms Channel pays us a visit to test out three Lehigh Defense 300 Blackout offerings for use in defensive scenarios. 300 Blackout is the SAAMI spec verison of the popular wildcat .300 Whisper. The cartridge is based on the 5.56x45mm but fires .308 diameter projectiles at supersonic and subsonic speeds. Converting an existing AR-15 to 300 BLK is as easy as replacing the barrel, however most will opt for a new upper for convenience.

Kentucky Justice says:

This video was awesome. I picked this video because I was "thinking about" building a 300 Blackout pistol. Now I know I am. This was SO educational. And to think, ScrewTube wants to abolish these types of videos. What's this world coming to. "Thumbs way up" from this Kentucky boy!

Rodiculous says:

this is why I am on the patreon, you guys did an amazing job with actual scientific data, well done and the high speed footage is invaluable. as an owner of multiple AK's I can't help but hope some of this awesome new bullet technology makes its way over to 7.62×39 😀

Gunny Sharp says:

I think we have crappy codes. I think walls in America need to be made much stronger.

That Dad Life says:

Hey can you do an accuracy test on those 3 rounds? I'm looking for a sub and a super sonic round that can be roughly 2" at 100 yards that are a good defensive round.

Also can you do tests on concrete block with cement down pour?

Got an AR-10 18" for long range precision/defense running hand loads with 175 grain SMK pills or Hornady ELD M 178's, 2 built 308 precision bolt rifles, AR-15 16" running some 77 grainers, then a new added 300 black out pistol 10.5" . This will be the all around defense weapon.

MARKY MUNRO dj.company says:

BEST BARREL LENGTH FOR: I want to hunt deer at 150 yards with 300 blk. What barrel length do I need?

EA sucks says:

Are there any newer rounds that would perform better than in this test?

Zechnar Williams says:

OH my they went all paul harrel on this one with the meat target.

David Cox says:

40mm for home defense?

ÇhåD Grímës says:

This is why I laugh every time I see a action movie and the guys use a table or a couch as a cover while guys with ak or ar shooting at 'em with a single penetration.

godking331 says:

It’s not “economical” 🤦‍♂️that just sounds retardical bro

It’s economic

Great video though!

Terry Knows says:

The criminal attacking you should be the one held accountable for anything

jason says:

Fun video!! Thanks

Daniel Bagot says:

That 300 blackout will hurt

Omar Navarro says:

So can I put a 300 BLK out upper on a 556 rifle and use the same 556 bolt and be okay???

H ? says:

WHAT?!
Did Tim SAY anything?!?
Hard to know with Eric and his incessant chatter.
Guess that's ok. It's his channel. But WTF bother to have any guests?

J R Deckard says:

I agree on 30 cal 110 gr bullets for home defense. I have a Rem Model 7, .308 Win., loaded with 110 gr. Hornady spire points.

siniša jakus says:

zid hahahahahaha

Russell Frazier says:

Intro for days. Skip to 2:30

Jonathan Allen says:

I go with 40gr .223 for home defense. I have a few mags with 62gr and 55gr in case I need them. But I keep a 20 rd mag with the 40gr winchester varmint round that says 3600fps on the box.
It turns 2liters bottles back into flat sheets of plastic and I've never seen another 556/223 round dump as much energy up close. Reminds me of how hard 7.62×39 hits only without the penetration.
.300 black to me is all about running with a suppressor as quiet as possible because you can supress 556 as well. But I don't understand how .300 black would be better for home protection unless your talking frangible ammo. And at that point what's the point if you can already do all that with much cheaper .223 varmint rounds?
Nice gun though

Un Garza says:

As I watched this in the background while I worked, it hit me, I asked myself…WHO GIVES A SHIT???!!!! Outa Here!!!
