Thanks government for giving the criminals all the initiative in situation they start and all the protections we dont have.

@The..51st..Estate says:

When she says the law allows for leeway, it means in both directions. So basically the judge, if he doesn't like you can throw the book at you. It's so stupid. There should be cut and dry laws. Castle law stand your ground laws in canada

@The..51st..Estate says:

That's such a non-answer from a woman lawyer. Literally ambiguous

@vannasoukphilavong6996 says:

Change the law

@SIRA063 says:

Go ahead and defend yourself if you can.

@Musa-v5k5r says:

Yup ill do what have to do to protect my family and my property

@fayzeenali4953 says:

Just ask Claude

@highlandlab1924 says:

Heavy duty steel doors and polycarbonate windows…
The only assault would be them bashing themselves against your property trying to enter..

@RippoDippo1 says:

She just has to peek around the corner and the invasion is over.

@troyzieman7177 says:

There isn't a jury in the GTA that is going to convict a person for defending themselves in a home invasion . She can ramble all she wants . I am a legal gun owner . The law says I cant use a firearm in my defence . I say that I answer to a higher principle of a right to exsist . I could careless what Canadian law says .
I have a wife and an obligation to her and myself that supercedes any law .
I have no joy about this concept and may I never know that fateful day . If it comes I will do what I have to do with a clear conscious

@relaxgood5214 says:

A citizen should not have to wait for an unwanted intruder to pull a gun or knife on them before they are allowed to use deadly force. That’s like rolling the dice on yourself and your family members.

@BeeeHonest says:

You know what, this lawyer does give a much clearer picture. Thank you.

@facingthemusic1 says:

I think she wanted to say Roll em up plant/dispose like nothing happened.

@mylesjarvis7571 says:

Canadians chose these rules???? No we didn't!

@FNR.obsrvr says:

Canada Law: We're going to tell you how you felt while you were being violated.

@mobezzy1 says:

Lol. Worst interview ever… I learned absolutely nothing other than it's the status quo where you could only defend yourself after you're dead

@tessietesoro7407 says:

The way I see it , defending yourself & your property from home invasion or home intruders is not protecting you because the law in Canada is very flawed.

@tomd1198 says:

"reasonable" , shooting someone that broke into your home at 3am is perfectly reasonable. End of argument

@i.o8887 says:

Its very simple in this joke of a country the crown defends you!!! Because you are under the crown. If we got away from that system like the USA did. then it would be different!! We would have the right to bear arm's!
