Judo Skills Stop the Threat | Active Self Protection

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YY6oqLhefo Watch the ASP Extra lesson on what the “Defensive Fence”/”Interview Ready” position is and how it can keep you from getting slapped and head butted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdEyMZ9gO_4 I can’t be sure if this defender actually has judo skills or if it’s just good grappling; either way, when his verbal judo and defensive fence failed, he got it done! Solid work. Funny part is that I ran this video by about a dozen judo trainers and got about 20 different answers as to which judo technique this showcased…and it’s all kemosabe to me. Judo, graceful, very practical and devastating at the same time…

Jorge Araya Navarro says:

Ippon seoi nage is the name you are looking.

Is like the first projection you learn when you start in judo. The basics are the best way to go almost all the time.

Everyday Adam says:

I would of lost it after the head butt. Not gonna lie

deem manning says:

How yo fat ass gon teach self defense.

Caz Gerald says:

The guy is lucky and should have been knocked out, first a headbutt, then a slap but could have been a full on punch to the chin. Then he's lucky the dude didn't have a buddy after they got to the ground. Overall, looks like the good guy got control, but man he was lucky.

JiveTurkey0001 says:

Dude was way too tolerant. Post-modernism and libtarded "non-violence" philosophy has really fucked up people's instincts. You NEVER let an aggressor get inside your personal space like that. That asshole could've had a knife or brass knuckles or whatever and it would've ended badly for the other dude.
Don't hesitate. Take'em out right away.

amir chavdarian says:

koshi guruma it is.

BrothaRobMusic says:

I wish I was behind them when this happened! As soon as he slap that young man I would have slap him back way fucking harder. I would made him apologize and shit himself

SPARTAN300 says:

He took to much if someone headbutts you attack with extreme violence.

Anthony M. M. says:

By keeping his cool, he kept the bad guy from be coming too agressive which left the bad guy vulnerable to counter attack as he did not expect it.
