The "run away logic" is extremely flawed.

What if you cant run away? The perp may be an athlete, and way faster/fitter than you, for a start.

Really, i can tell you never been in a real street fight. In fact there is not one single martial art that can 100% safe you. Everything goes, bitting, eye pocking, bottles, belts, chairs and even rocks. Also keep in mind that most fights happen at close places, bars weedings and you will be very lucky if the fight is one on one. Most of the time will be you againts 2 or tree, jit jitsu will get you kill. Even an MMA fighter will stuggle in these scenerios.

Imagine challenging Jocko to a fight, him backing down, you pushing the issue, him literally running away from you, you chasing him down and trying to grab a hold of him. The whole scenario is hilarious to picture.

Start with Judo.

@d3ep07 says:

as a muay thai fighter if im grabbed i am either going to clinch if possible or try lethal shots like a elbow to the spine or face or neck or a knee right in the face or balls. This is purely for streetfighting i do have respect for actual fighters but im trying to live in a streetfight.
