Jiu-Jitsu Self Defense | 4 Ways Off The Wall

If you are interested in a more comprehensive guide to jiu-jitsu self defense, check out my 2 volume set Jiu-Jitsu Self Defense Solutions available from BJJ Fanatics: Jiu-Jitsu Based Self Defense Solutions by Eli Knight This video is in conjunction with the Budo Brothers, a martial arts team that puts out content, sells apparel and does amazing things for getting youth involved in martial arts training. These are some helpful ways to defend against common ways someone may be pinned or attacked against a wall. I focus in this video on the one-hand choke, two-hand choke, shirt or jacket pin and the headlock. By no means a comprehensive list, but some of the most common and some of the most solid defenses available for these situations. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already. The best move for being pinned against the wall or someone grabbing you with both arms would be a swift boot to a guys kneecap or if you can hit the groin then do that, it's the quickest retaliation possible.

Very cool, as usual. yea, "that never happens in a real fight"…LOL, I remember in the very early 90s, before the first UFC, when no body had really heard of BJJ, the ass-clowns were telling me that ground fights never happened either LOL.

I like the new intro! Also great video; it’s amazing that positions that I thought were super dominant before I started learning Jiu-Jitsu are actually fairly easy to beat, trivial even in some cases.

Can you show a live demonstration with a bit of resistance to these moves please? for the one hand choke against the wall, I find it very difficult to escape that easily/cleanly especially if the opponent is much stronger

Komar Crewsmen says:

The same moves that I normally use in situations like that(which do work) would be the same moves that I would use again if I was up against the wall. I mean I would have to make some adjustments, but the science is the same.

GUTOM says:

yes. Dig it! Eli going Jason Bourne on these muthas.

Baris Cankaya says:
