Jiu-Jitsu Self-Defense | 4 Options For Grabs From Behind

Here are some defensive options from common standing grabs from behind. Aside from the rear choke grab (see a previous video on my channel for that one), these are some solutions for efficiently and effectively getting out of a double arm pin, a bear hug (2 options) and a full-nelson. Let me know what you think about these, and please like, share and subscribe. Also be sure to check out Aperture Fight Focused on Facebook. Instagram: knight_jiu_jitsu

Thanks eli for doing this video.. i agree that in a real fight situation that the full nelson rarely existed but just like you mention, kids like to do those things growing up and one of my friend's son told me that is how he got bullied by larger kids and do not know how to get out of it. When he asked me how to, I'm lost.. hahaha.. thanks again for sharing

Awesome techniques!

I've seen all these moves before but they are all solid. Great video! I actually used the rear bear hug defense without even thinking when I was grabbed from behind in a bar years back and it worked like a charm!

Such great real-world explanation. But are you sure you don’t want to use your aikido chi to knock him out with your Aura?

Your teaching is awesome. Thanks. Can you explain also how to defend from a rear bear hug when arms are free? It is a pretty standard grab and I don't like the standard jujitsu defense where you base and grab your opponent foot. Thanks
