If you are heading out of town and traveling on a train, plane, or boat and you have to go through security, don’t fret. I have a quick, cheap, and easy improvised weapon.
Swing by the local hardware store and get a large nut, and some thin, strong cordage, preferably 550 type. Cut a section of cordage that meets your needs 36 inches is what I liked. Knot the two pieces and run the section through the nut, then through itself. If the cordage is long, it can be worn like a necklace if shorter, put it in your pocket, and let some cordage hanging out for quick deployment.
When vacation is over, toss that couple of dollars improvised weapon in the trash. It’s better than having an expensive blade seized at a security checkpoint.

i just bought an M24 nut on amazon. They had a pack of 2 so gave one to my sister. i wish it was heavier. i will practice on pieces of pallet wood to get a feel of the strike and length of string i need
There was knife attack on a train in cambridge UK yesterday at night. I was watching the news, people on the train were discussing what they had that could protect them. one guy said he only had a bottle of jack daniels. If he had this bolt am sure sure it will help. with a longer string

I have a thick but supple leather drawstring pouch! Fill with coinage of the country you’re visiting and works just the same! Added bonus that if the 🚨 stop you it’s just a coin purse!
