Excellent short demo. I train all of the above but there are alot of
differences in the variations I was taught. Same essential tools. Gonna
have to buy this one.

I was already going to post some self defense videos, and noticed the video
about head movement that was posted. It got me thinking again about bare
knuckle boxing for self defense. What a lot of people forget is that old
time fisticuffs had a lot more techniques. This video demonstrates what
some call “dirty boxing” inside fighting.
This is whats known as “dirty boxing”. Its the father of modern western
boxing. You could use elbows, foot stomps, head butts etc. Much like the old
films of men boxing in the ring for 100 rounds. Look up some of those.
Remember western boxing is very watered down compared to its father
art. They established the “marquis of queensberry” rules to promote safety.
I own this guys extreme boxing videos, they are awesome! He knows his
stuff, and is extremely skilled. After seeing this clip, I may have to pull
them out and watch them again. 😀
Good stuff. Im a boxing man myself, even though i do greatly enjoy
wrestling. back in high school and even college to some extent guys that i
fought that knew me as a boxing guy would always be surprised as shit when
I started throwing elbows, and especially after a bloody nose from a
headbutt. Boxing the sport may not be optimal for ‘streetfights’ but dirty
boxing like this is great. How much your vids go for?
I’m loving it! I’m boxing since 4 years and I really dont like kicks, but I
love elbows 🙂 and I always wanted to learn a few new strikes wich are very
close to the traditionally boxing, and these techniques are awesome,
exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the upload 😀 and please excuse
bad english, I’m german and the only english I know is school english and
that’s been a while ^^
When my sister-in-law had to put her son in a public school and wanted to
know where to send this sheltered suburban kid to learn self-defense, I
suggested she find a good boxing trainer. Unlike a lot of “karate types,”
boxing trainees learn to take a punch. If you ain’t gettin’ hit, you ain’t
learning to REALLY fight, ’cause in a real fight you WILL get hit…
cool video, ive been boxing since 1988, not still competing obviously but I
wanted to comment about street fights. Boxing is an absolutely awesome tool
for street fighting. I started Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 94′-95′ ish, and to
be honest boxing is all I ever needed in street fights, it is not
complicated so don’t overthink it, you’ll more than likely overwhelm
someone with punches they will loose their will or be seriously hurt.
“Can’t tell you why its called a Pivot Punch… Don’t know, that’s just how
it’s always been refferd to.” Because you’re pivoting your body back to
your square stance for the outside of the forearm and pivoting the arm
outwards for the inside of the forearm. Or at least that’s what makes sence
to me. : )

the entire video and listen to what is being said before making a comment.

must be civil. If you cannot conduct yourself in an adult-manner, you will
not be tolerated.
This is gold.

when someone tries to grab the neck?
