Police call their cars "rolling coffins!" They want out of them as fast as possible when they roll up on a scene or it may become theirs! Glass and thin metal and plastic can't be used for cover if someone decides to start shooting at them. As far as being a cabbie, those guys get killed way more often than cops! You couldn't pay me enough money to pick up a stranger alone even if I were armed.
