So what could this guy do? If he sees that he could be in danger it’s already too late. He’s on the wrong side to drive off and even if he gets in from the back seat by the time he makes it to the driver seat they could have guns drawn or shoot out his window. The only real course he could do is stay out of bad neighborhoods while driving that car.
I don't park up close. I park with some distance to protect my car from damage,and because there is zero reason for people to hang out in the middle of a lot away from other vehicles. Conversely, if a car parks near mine away from everything, that's a tell.

Let's be honest, if he put up an unarmed fight against 3 or 4 armed dudes there he would've been injured badly or killed, there's no doubt. Yes, he was extremely lucky to be let go but I think he did the right thing.
First thing I noticed was how he went all the way to back passenger side door instead of going to the one behind him. Maybe could’ve saved him a couple of steps. Maybe not. In general, he just wasn’t paying attention and that’s no bueno in any galaxy you live in. Glad he made out ok.

One time I was checking and filling my tires at the gas station. A car with four guys in it pulled up and parked about 10 -12 ft away from me. I looked at them and I thought it strange that they were just staring straight ahead. They weren't even talking to each other. Within a couple of seconds I thought that they were probably going to carjack or rob me. So I released the air hose and got into my car. They kept on sitting there keeping their eyes focused on the wall. I had the feeling that they didn't want me to get a look at them. But, I took off right away and when I was turning onto the street I looked in my mirror and I saw them look over at me and then they started talking to each other. After that I bought a air compressor for my garage.
Its fuckers like this that keep me from even really wearing a watch out. Maybe its just because I watch channels like this, and pay attention a lot more now, but its amazing to me that the victim didnt get red flags from the way the perp was acting outside the store.
