Dr. Drew says:

We all need to get together and fight for it. We as canaidians tend to say, f **k it eh. We need to start sticking up for ourselves and pushing for what we want and believe! I kind of place SOME of the blame our generations ahead of us for being that way and letting us be controlled by out gov. but blame is not going to get us anywhere its time we step up and fight. I want to be able to protect my family and business! Guns dont kill people, sick criminals do… And they already have guns. Goverments dont want us to have firearms because they dont want any resistance while they steal our democracy.

Im from Vancouver BC. moved down to washington state and got my concealed pistol license. oh baby. bought 3 handguns and 1 shotgun. I now carry my gun everywhere i go. except when i go back to Canada…..

jon sherwood says:

guns are nothing more than tools i am a canadian restricted gun owner i dont think that we need to carry concealed firearms .
but i do think that we should be able to open carry restricted firearms in areas that is legal to discharge a firearm . so you would be able to carry on the farm or out hunting but not in your car or in toronto or any where you can not discharge a non restricted firearm legally . now as for self defence the laws need to be changed to allow us to defend ourselfs because you can and most likely will be charged with a weapon charge no matter what tool is used here in canada to defend yourself . be it a firearm a knife a bat .

Wayne Bolton says:

Canada is pathetic. I will be soon consumed
and taken over by muslim filth & evil islamic ideology
with its pathetic anti-gun liberal laws is NEXT. our Trump needs to be
president and build a wall on the US canadian border, because canada
will soon be renamed to canadastan when their child prime minister
trudeau bringing in 100000 + islamic terrorists there. Their police is more pathetic & corrupt than ours in the US.

Coolride17 says:

All the licensed carriers I know here in Fla., never carry it with them. I think they just got the license because they could. I've had to pull on someone twice in my lifetime, but never had to pull a trigger.

abrahamhdz says:

All this time I thought Canadians had a right to self defense. If you don't have the right to the same means of defense as criminals have for attack you really don't have the right to self defense. Sad.

grow room says:

my thoughts every person should have self-defence training before graduation of high school.

The Guerrilla says:

never gonna happen

M27 IAR says:

As long as its legally owned

kzif says:

@15:04 "When people know that this is in wide available use for self-defence, that becomes a natural deterrent where people would say it's just too dangerous to be a criminal"

Not quite. There's an arms race between what the average household uses for self-defence, and what the average home burglar will use to counter-act that. If the average household had at least one gun for home defence, you can be assured the average home burglar would have a gun as well.

Loyd Pye says:

I believe a few open carry permits would have changed the outcome in some of history's shootings. I think these people could help the police as well. If they are good people of sound mind I wouldn't have a problem. Here in Canada it is very quiet compared to the BIG cities in the states. I don't think it's necessary here. I see a lot of shootings by police and hope people with permits don't act that way and ruin it for other gun lovers       peace all good people, brown and white

Edwin Dueck says:

The gun laws date back to 1698, it is in the rights act to defend your self. I don't really see the carry permit, with that said. If the criminal thinks you have a gun he / she will more likely not try anything to you, they don't want to get shot anymore then you do.
I can see where it would be great for hunting or if your working in a wild live area then they would be useful.
Yes I would get a carry permit if or once it becomes legal. Your right the bad guy shows up when you don't expect it and they know it.

Alan d says:

Typical Canadian. Using Hockey pucks as paper weights 😉

Mr. Chisels says:

Great arguments!!!
Keep up the fight…I will!

ryani999 says:

I am in the states and it is refreshing to hear someone in a non-carry country understand the concept so thoroughly. On a side note, I am not sure if it was intensional, but I like the perfect timing of your video.

blackittysamurai says:

My two cents. If you are compliant to the Act in storing your  handgun in Canada, it's pretty much useless for home defence: trigger lock, in a locked box, ammunition in another locked box. By the time you're ready to defend yourself, you're already dead.
