Well, there's an extra part to shooting: the build-up. The actual trigger pull is very fast, but the observation of whatever catalyst, the orienting of the decision to do that action (OODA Loop) takes time & then there's fear/arrogance/etc… as potential vitiating factors. It's dangerous to try disarms, but it's dangerous to stand there at the other person's mercy, too.
I wish I was your size with your health. I’m 58 and disabled. Not much here but meat for the machine. It’s really weird though. Last night, literally, I was reading a book (metro 2033) and thinking about this very subject. Could I move several feet in the time the other guy moves his finger 1/4 inch, when he is nervous and alert? Nope. I figure as soon as he even thinks I am going to try something, its “BANG”.
looks to me like a m4a1 or ar-15 clone, missing a rear sight no less the second one you show, obviously a fake for a training tool, but is modeled after a proper ak-47 and not a AKM; and includes notches for semi, and full auto
probably better to just bring your own gun its way simpler and they are easier to disarm when they have been shot a few times
personally im bringing a glock 19 with a couple of glock 17 mags. if it gets bad enough that i need a rifle for example like the terrorist attack in France a few years back, then im probably fucked anyway, but ill disarm one by shooting them with my gun first, and hopefully he doesn't blow him self up after.
pretty unlikely though as I live and Texas and terrorist know that anywhere else they get victims, and here they just get shot (see Garland TX draw muhammad contest)
Well said Luke…Though my battle buddy sent a fucker to his virgins by sweeping an AK off his forehead and putting a pistol round through the fuckers forehead, that happened after years of us training on firearms and tactics….After they cleared a house and started talking to the houses head guy he got relaxed and was questioning him..Story short the guy got pissed off and pointed an AK at his forehead at arms reach..He said he specifically remembered looking down the barrel, and then saw the rifle was still on safe…Grabbed the muzzle to the side pulled his pistol and ended him…For Joe blow to pull that off its highly unlikely. Especially one who doesnt know firearms
great video. although most of what you said should have appeared common sense to everyone. even training as a marksman when we disarm our foes we usually have a weapon of our own pointed at them and we outnumber them. SO EVEN WITH EXPERIENCE DONT TOUCH THE FUCKING WEAPON!
one of the things i think most ppl forget about is even if th e barrel is away from you when a shot goes off it'll fry your fucking hand if it's on it… go for rails but even then in the usmc we always just mussel thumped mofos and used the gun itself for locks keeping our hands in the shooting positions no need t o move em you got a great weapon to strike and shoot never compromise that 🙂 great vid as always

I carry a gun for a living and still wouldn't want to try and pull a disarm if I can help it. people are stupid
disarms actually work. but you have to be fast and fluid. sadly most people who practice them can't actually do it. it's a failure in training

Is that AR-15? Finland we have a RK62 it is slightly better than AK 47. But that is just my opinion.
