Anyone who says "she shouldn't have said anything and should have just kept walking" is an idiot. Ya if its night time and you are in a dark alley its best not to provoke a predator but here in public with people around she has every right and I would argue obligation to put this guy in his place. Bystanders failed as they should have been holding him down till police arrive.

And to answer your poll question, of course and absolutely. Anyone who messes with lady, even if I'm not around, will be eating .45 lead. This woman doesn't mess around, she only packs .45s and knows Krav Maga and BJJ. Together, we are a force to be reckoned with and not to be messed with, and that's the way everyone should be.
It's one thing to go up to a woman and compliment her respectfully (something I commonly do), it's another thing to catcall a woman on the street and even worse to put your hands on her. Real men know this difference and may still interact with the opposite sex without being an arse.

John, we can all agree that the guys comments were in appropriate, but this "emotional boundaries" premise seems to conflict with keeping one's ego in check and not getting into an ego confrontation. If the woman had been a black man and the other guy made a racial slur, would this cross emotional boundaries justifying the black man to call him out and confront him. Not saying you are wrong here but it certainty clouds the issue.

I used to work construction, and I'd take my shirt off in the summer when I got really hot. I've been catcalled and sexually harassed by women literally more times than I can count.
