The police knew there were 4 criminals in the store from the 911 call so hiding was fruitless. The video will provide training beneficial to police in the future.

In any armed robbery, the gun is an implied threat of bodily harm if you don't comply with demands. It should put any sane person in fear of their safety and respond appropriately.
I'm just going to make a statement and this is for me only. I almost always stop watching just about the time the video ends. I can't remember a when I stopped watching the "lessons" John has afterward. Way too preachy.
Not being willing to be tied up when you are out armed and out numbered seems like terrible advice. So you are just going to fight armed robbers with your bare hands because you are not willing to be tied up?? Don't think that's going to work out well for you.. Im pretty sure you got a better chance surviving just being tied up.
