Look cool but are horrible. I used to carry some, and have only ever used them once against a big dude. Road rage incident, landed one clean on the nose. I thought i broke my hand because of how swollen it got.
I had a pair as a teen, but I didn't known thats how you actually wear them. I just assumed they were too big. And asian lady at the mall sold them to me as paperweights ๐ for something like that, I'd rather just wear some metal knuckle protective gloves. Sometimes I do because I ride an emtb a lot.
You would really love the Tactical Combat Gloves. Like those from the brand Mechanix Wear. There are different variations. If Iโm not mistaken (off the top of my head), brass knuckles date back to the Old West. These combat gloves are the modern version. And covert in themselves. In my country, a blow with these is considered a blow with a weapon.
The hammer fist point is critical. Most people assume you just punch normally with these, but a natural downward hammer strike maximizes the weight of the metal without risking your wrist. Still, definitely sticking to a tactical pen or EDC blade after watching this!
The worst thing about brass knuckles….. Everybody knows what they are. Very difficult to be covert with something so overt. I would much rather have the two second window of the bad guy asking himself, "What the hell is that?" Make that hesitation work in your favor.
A Kelly Worden style IMPACT KERAMBIT is a hard plastic version of brass knuckles and is a MUCH Better choice for self defense and can be carried ANYWHERE LEGALLY.

Whats a good state jason?
Carrying this is a one way ticket to jail in the UK. Self defence is, in effect, illegal here.
Not a good defensive weapon, more of a good offensive weapon if you don't want to kill anyone, but still want to take them down more easily.

How about Bronze Knuckles? Are they banned in most states, like the brass ones?

That is NOT how you hold them. How are you going to punch with your wrist bent?

There are holsters for knuckles. Donโt know how well they work, tho.
Carry a carribeaner in your pocket. Jusr as effective and compleatly legal
