I live in Durban, South Africa. It is notorious for violent car jackings. I am surprised at the laid back sort of approach here by this family. John's points are valid. I'm am so relieved that no one was harmed and they just took the car. Considering the violent crime we deal with here on a daily basis, this was actually a good outcome believe or not.
So many unsuspecting victims loofing in the parking lot. I was out riding my bike around after dark, I saw a guy with all windows down; blasting music in a nearly deserted part of the parking lot. Not even paying attention whatsoever. Could have easily "got him".
The lady with a burka thought she'd hang around to tell her attackers a thing or two, rather than get herself and the kids to safety. A lot of people seem to think the firearm is more of a formality than a threat of imminent deadly force.
when you accommodate criminals without punishing tem..like jackals they flourish. IN THE ABSENCE OF THE LAW AND LEGAL HELP..PEOPLE WILL DEFEND THEIR OWN. VIGILLANCE COMMITTEES ARISE when the COURTS and MEDIA DONT
John they just released footage of an attempted assault (I believe it was a sexual assault but it may have been a robbery) on a woman in Florida in an apartment gym, and she fights the guy off BEAUTIFULLY and I know you guys will eventually show the video and cover it but it was a perfect case of self defense by a woman 1 on 1 against a male attacker, she fends him off perfectly and she Definitely covered her Asp. It's on the news right now I just saw the full clip
This is how my family is. No matter how many times I tell them. No matter how many videos I show them. Survival of the fittest, I’m at the point that I’ll leave them behind.

Its a tragedy that people can not live a life of normality this is no excuse to be unaware and vulnerable why not pull into the property and use a valid gate to secure your family
