What good if forgiveness if the opposer keeps taking?

@JamesZaraza-wv3gt says:

In my opinion Jesus was teaching with the sword incident.
While focusing on Jesus asking His disciples to purchase and bear swords can be used to justify the 2nd amendment; it is not the end of the story.
Jesus knows His disciples hearts, and allows Peter to cut off the ear so that He may heal it. Jesus (God) has the power to restore from injury or even from death. Those who make an ally of violence and death will find themselves rendered powerless when these are taken away in Heaven.
To claim Jesus comes preaching anything but peace and unity with God is beyond my understanding.
Thanks for sharing your piece, I am spiritually weak and need to find something to resist so as to comprehend God’s word as it exists in my heart.

I normally would not condone violence but if myself, or my family/friends were in danger Id defend them without hesitation

@khole15 says:

I would not engage in the legality of self defense, rather, we are called to be like Jesus.

Would Jesus defend Him Self?, i think you know the answer

Judeo-Christcucks.

@smithjones3548 says:

Most modern churches train their deacons in the use of firearms and authorize them to carry during services. They are there not to take lives deliberately, but to defend congregants from people who would take advantage of a church thinking it to be a "soft" target.

@francissweeney7318 says:

Sam the Sham. Jesus said resist not evil and love your enemies. The catholic church teaches lies.

The bibble allows u to bend over and take it

@sluggodna says:

No! The bible is completely against self defense.
..
Judgement: Only if someone is caught, can there be a judgement of "eye for an eye"
..
The Bible is anti weapons. To stop temptation. Can you stop someone from attacking you? No.

@hayseshouhda5730 says:

I believe understand what you are saying. You dont need to repeat the same thing 3-9 times.

@user-lo4np1bs1r says:

Too many people in the church now are NOT born again! Where is any of your discernment readers? Jesus warned against this and what to do. Did Jesus fight back being beaten close to death and put on the cross for us? Is the servant greater than his master? It's easy to swing back and opposite of what Jesus told us which would put a believer in rebellion. What did Jesus do after Peter cut off the guards ear?

@user-lo4np1bs1r says:

No it is absolutely wrong. To kill any man for any reason unless governing authorities biblically after Jesus came. This is scary how you all lack Faith so much. You don't trust GOD truly. Faith issue and lack of trust. How many are truly Born again?

@FIDreams says:

Here's your answer Luke 22:36-38

36 He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

37 It is written: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors’; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.”

38 The disciples said, “See, Lord, here are two swords.”, “That’s enough!” he replied.

Jesus wanted them to protect themselves. Yes, Simon struck someone with a sword in the Mound of Olives and Jesus rebuked him to show a point, however I still believe it was theirs to have for protection.

@raymondotoole2600 says:

If evil presents itself it’s getting put down. Simple. They chose their path. If it’s self defence it’s fine

@dhe777 says:

2 Swords.. Fulfillment of prophecy so he would be "Numbered among the trangressors' 2 swords against all the Romans" Against who. Did the disciples every fight with swords to protect themselves. This video is idiotic.

@dhe777 says:

Argument is b.s.
