My pet peeve and a mark of EXTREMELY low IQ is when someone tail gates you, which is what the idiot in the white pick up truck was doing. These are the people that don't understand physics. Both guys are idiots in this.
I guarantee the Honda driver was intentionally going slow because the white truck was on his ass. Then it looks like the Honda gets in the open lane so the truck can go around but then the truck cuts him off. So he’s understandably upset, but, he shouldn’t have walked up to the truck ESPECIALLY with a weapon in his hand. He should’ve just let it go
Two idiots here. The pick-up driver initially provoked the confrontation, but the Civic driver had no right to appoach his vehicle with a gun. At that point, he became the aggressor and the defensive action was justified. However it could all have been avoided if Mr Pickup had not been driving like a douche.
When I was in driver's training class in high school, we were taught defensive driving, going to all means to avoid conflicts with other drivers and accidents. Today, offensive driving seems to be the norm, using the car as a weapon, an extension of ego. People are like Jekylls and Hydes, calm reasonable rational people outside of their car, but then once behind the wheel transform into completely insane lunatics. Things happen to me on the road by other drivers just about every day, but I evade, concede, avoid and move on.
cant say im sorry for the honda guy, for one if you wanna drive slow dont be mad when someone goes around you, they got somewhere to be, second dont let you little ego get bruised and chase them down, third dont pull a gun on someone just for bruising your delicate ego. guy played a stupid game and got a stupid prize
I’ve been a professional driver for most of my adult life and road rage is one of the lowest most idiot things someone can do. Just drive well, drive defensive, throw an apology wave even if you don’t mean it, mumble under your breath, and move on with your LIFE
Thank you for these lessons John and team! I was in a road rage incident a few months ago, I unintentionally came up behind a car driving well under the speed limit late at night. They pulled aside and when I passed, then tailgated me. I was then irritated and stupidly brake checked them. Long story short, they cut me off, threatened a fight. My ego was wanting to fight back, but in the back of my head I could hear your voice: "be a sane, sober, moral person. It's not worth getting in a ego battle." I put my car in reverse and got out of there in a hurry. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the level headed cautionary talk John, I will be showing this to my kids/family members to show how idiotic road rage confrontations turn fatal. I will be checking my anger as well.

I’d say it was justified use of deadly force. Also wondering if the defender had been first to call police or called at all?
