As a Commonwealth country we 100% have the ability to restrain someone and keep them there against their will if they are acting unlawfully. It's not called citizens arrest I actually don't think it has a name but it's apart of the British Commonwealth idea of what's good for everyone type of thing. But we can't carry pocket knives lol. Tre bizarre as they say in Montreal. Also nobody locks their doors which they really should. Even in higher income neighbourhoods like this one appears to be. I know a guy that got six months for keeping someone who broke into his home in the middle of the night at gunpoint (legal gun owner) until the police got there. The judge told him he should have just called the police and done nothing as the guy who broke in was unarmed. This guy had the right idea though for sure.
Sorry to say the man in this video will be charge with assault most likely This is how it works here now. he drags him back in to the house. we are now told to levee all are doors open so they can come in and take all that they wont to take " because they have gun and will shoot us" Im not joking this is fact.
Canada is a total joke. They'll probably charge the homeowner. The police were recently telling people to keep their car keys close to their front doors so they are more easily stolen by thieves.
Canada told it's citizens to just literally hand over their car and house keys to criminals to avoid confrontations. Also they cannot promise to be there when you need cops bcoz they have to wake up the horses first…What a terrible leader!
Fudeau had to pass a law telling Canadians to leave their keys out, because he knew what would happen to his fellow thieves if people could defend themselves!
