Gotta say, I cheer every time I see a citizen hypnotized by the "screen" as Huxley predicted, get mugged. They are the inattentive, weak members of the herd/flock. They are the ones the lionesses would take out as food for their young, and rightfully so.
If you feel someone going for your neck from behind, the only instinct you should have is to grab your gun from appendix or 4 o clock, and either shoot them in the leg while holding their arm on your neck or reaching behind you and shooting them in the neck or head. It has to be instinctual. Any unsuspecting chokehold is the use of deadly force. I'm not going to waste time trying to fight it. You're just going to have to die before you choke me out.
First scenario probably would have ended differently if the victim held on jumped & landed on his back…would have fucked up the attackers ribs at the least.
The first guy should have clenched the guys legs and slammed the back of the attackers skull on the concrete curb. The second man looked sick and elderly.
"I'm a white belt in jui jitsu! – one eyed talking to the blind. Sorry, most of these attacks you don't stand a chance, you're just not read and a well timed and proper executed underarm rear naked choke gives you less than 30 seconds to escape, otherwise the blood flow to your brain is stoped and you just pass out. Very hard to defend if ambushed and well executed.
Ok, I am certainly surprised how quick the second guy went out. I had been under the mistaken impression that it would take longer. Glad I watched this video and thank you for posting it, learn something new every day.
The first problem is being UNAWARE of potential threats! The choke hold is just a distraction. It takes about 6 minutes to die. At that range, in that position, a knife is 'better' than a firearm. It is funny how slicing thru a man's arm will change their ability to continue!

seems like it'd be common sense to fall as hard as you can, backwards, onto the asshole on your backside (the one that's not always there)

Why not let gravity take the perp out? Just fall backward as hard as you can.
