My house is less than 1,500 ft^2. I heard him all 3 times. He came in my open door because my daughter opened it and ran for the bus setting off our alarm. Turns out my gate was still locked. π my daughter jumped the fence. The deputy must have jumped it twice.
They don't just have to announce themselves they have to prove that you were aware of the announcement, they also have to prove that you had no fear of somebody impersonating an officer.

But yes .. cops can be dangerously amped and even if they have a right to barge into ur home with a warrant they still need to give u the clear opportunity to know they are cops and not intruders that making murder u and ur family

How about a more common scenario like police forcing or stepping in the home without a warrant?
