Comment Below: Is your carry gun modified?

Juan Alvarez says:

Not the modification that will get you arrested, it’s how you use it. If a modified weapon discharges recklessly and injures someone, you will be charged. Simply lightening a trigger spring won’t. Obviously, too, can’t make semi-auto handgun into a auto, without the proper ATF license.

RealTalk813 says:

What about CREATING a gun, will that land you in jail. It's not illegal to make your own firearm as long as it's not for sale, but what if I had to use it for self defense. Wjat if that time just just happened to come around.

BentBow says:

There is no such thing as "a modified gun" It is a gun, period. You cannot change the name of things to by-pass the constitutional mandates
—- Craig v. Missouri
What if I use may 5-axis, Bridgeport Mill, lathe, drill press to make what ever firearm I wish. Is it modified. Ask Randy Weaver…..
Militia is illegal as the police state has replaced the free state, the privilege of citizens 21 years or older who are mentally sane and non-felons may keep but never bear the small arms the government deems acceptable, this may be altered by legislation when ever emotions run high.

Are extended magazines over 20+ rounds considered an illegal modification?

Vigilant Observer says:

I'm considering a Glock 23, which is a. 40 cal. /10mm pistol. Due to the ammo shortage, I want to swap the .40 barrel with a 9mm barrel, if necessary. I've been told not to conceal carry the Glock 23, with the 9mm barrel. Is there a way I can make it conceal-carry legal?

Les Burge says:

A modification could make the firearm more effective!!

mike stroup says:

Legal modifications will "Not get you into Trouble"… it Might paint you in an unfavorable way to the jury…
In a self defense shooting… YOU ARE ADMITTING TO SHOOTING THE PERP!! (not claiming an accident)
Improved trigger is likely a no big deal… (Unless stupid light trigger)… but engraving "Go ahead Punk Make my day" on the slide might be problematic.
I am s'prised Self Defense Training hasn't been claimed to show or imply premeditation! SMH

Mike Bourque says:

Wouldn't go below 4pds for carry personally. But my trigger job is for accuracy. If I can't avoid the immeninet threat encounter, I want to maximize my chance of hitting target and not missing and hitting a bystander.

David Krutsinger says:

I have been toying with the idea of removing the spring on my magazine safety on my bersa firestorm.
