How criminals think: Damn I'm $200 short on rent, well better spend a couple hundred and get an illegal firearm. Damn! Now I don't have nearly enough for rent, better go rob a dollar store.

Ben Romaine says:

This place is literally my corner store about a 1 minute walk from my house. The family has just purchased that store a few years back and have already been robbed twice. The man is doing much better he is still in a wheelchair but his will to survive is what kept him alive. What a G!

yokoshemp says:

Some posts bring up learning to shoot without sights. I am 100% for that. Thing is it can be far more difficult than you imagine. I had the benefit of a 50ft tall sand hill that was a good 100ft wide and I used up a fair portion. My first shot just pointing the gun was off by 10ft high and 6ft to the side… good thing that coffee can was not shooting back at me. I was perhaps 20ft away! A couple hundred rounds later and I could hit the can often enough to be a danger to a bad guy. It takes time, ammo, and a place to learn. I doubt any indoor range would be impressed with you throwing wild shots down range. Benefit is once you get the "feel" of point shooting it is very valuable and much quicker than sight assisted shooting. If you are caught in the dark you won't have sights and if you light up a laser or flashlight you just gave away any cover the darkness provided… not to mention you might not have the luxury of time to play with gadgets. It took me 30 years of practice to take out a very possibly rabid raccoon at night… it had something wrong with it. Even with a flashlight and the benefit of not being shot at there was no chance of using the large target sights on my 357 revolver. A Colt Python reduced to just point the darn thing and shoot.

Jaime Gonzalez says:

Darn if only California were anti-gun these guys would never have access to a gun.. wait..

John Black says:

having the firearm on him might be what got him shot. not sure i agree with John here. most robbers want the money, and not murder charges, so they point to intimidate
