Now I don't fault the guy one bit at all, because he accomplished the goal very quickly. That is, he drove off the assailants without injury to his friends/ family. In one may argue that a one second draw would have been linked into a 1.5 second draw by going two handed and assuming a textbook stance.
This is something that I see often. Pedestrians standing in the middle of a parking lot talking, or standing on the road talking, while traffic is passing extremely close. And the pedestrians just stand there thinking traffic should just go around them. Here's the problem. This mentality of pedestrians is putting personal safety in the hands of complete strangers and demanding that drivers should just accommodate pedestrians and go around them. Blatant negligence on the side of the pedestrians. Right or wrong, pedestrians don't win when they get run over. The laws of physics prevail and not the will of the negligent. Regardless if the Pedestrian is in the right, you cannot trust a complete stranger with your life. This complacency is going to get them killed.
In all fairness the blue shirt had to get the hell outa there. He needed larger caliper. I think if he stood ground w continued fire bad wouldn’t have drop it immediately & gotten a shot on him. U can’t make every situation perfect. He knew where it was pointed I think!!!!
No knowing if he was legal or not but still had every right to defend himself. 2 days ago in the town i work in there was a shooting. A man shot 2 people, killed one and injured another. He was attacked by them with baseball bats. The shooting is likely to be considered self defense. He was a felon in posession of a firearm. They said the charges will likely just be "felon in posession" in a self defense situation. He'll probably do a year or two for having the gun but no charges for using it. Even felons are allowed to defend themselves accordingly and i love that. I dont condone felons having firearms, but im not mad at the story.
CA CCWs are notoriously difficult to obtain.
Added insult to injury by shooting them in the butt, bet they won't be showing off those wounds to their homies in the pokey.
4:40.

Success trumps all nitpicking.
