As a hostage, one technique I heard of was if you have guns already pointed at the perpetrators, what you can do is just fake fainting to the ground. That'll expose the criminal so that you can shoot him dead or otherwise do what you want with him.
I guess it's a case of, "People are breaking our laws, we have to make stronger laws." The Brazilian cops have a history of murdering petty criminals, so instead of cleaning out the cops, supplying them with bodycams etc., the government made it illegal to shoot people under any circumstances. Dumb beyond idiocy. But that's governments for you.

A woman is murdered every couple of hours in the USA… By a person she’s in a relationship with! ANY sign of abuse in a relationship is the only red flag folks should need, to get away from that person. People need to wake the hell up.
