Thanks guys! After looking through the comments, there really is only one correct answer, right? That would be 100. It can't be 110 because the pyramid has a peak. So if you did two sets of 10 at the top, the top would be flat and you'd have to call it a trapezoid, right? 🙂
If you add the first push-up on the way up the pyramid to the first 10 on the way back down the pyramid, you get 1+10=11. If you add the subsequent steps in the pyramid, you get 2+9=11, and so on, for all 10 steps of the pyramid. In the end you've done 11*10=110 push-ups.
Also rotation in the shoulder can give the good momentum (speed + force) for the punch (when shoulder rotates activates more muscles groups + its more stable) …it's also important for any body part…. like spine, hip, (to deliver force from the ground to the hand and activate largest muscles like m.latissimus dorsi) >.> 😀
