Did u tell her that ammo is drying up? Better get it now.

I love the way you talk to her, telling her "it's all good" and "that happens, it's okay" Too often I experience teachers talking down to their students making them feel dumb and destroying their confidence. You lifted her up and let her know it's okay to be at a place of learning. Excellent job! The tips and tricks you teach are awesome and very helpful. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I have no personal experience with the EZ, but I've read where a couple of instructors have said some of their students had problems with limp wristing. If you Google it, you will see it seems to be a somewhat common issue with the EZ. I would like to see April compare the LCP II with the Shield 9mm 2.0, Glock 43, Clock 43x, p365 and and see what she thinks. One of the things I tell my new shooter friends is to apply strong pressure with the fingertips of their support hand. I tell them, "really squeeze hard with your fingertips" and it seems to help as opposed to just telling them "you need a tight/strong grip".

Great video. Lots of info. Been trying to teach my gf how to run a pistol. She has a blast and is getting there.

Joel T says:

Awesome video! You are a great person for new shooters.

The Outdoor Dog says:

The 2 past GF’s that were new to shooting both choose a vastly different gun. I had a G19, Rock Island 38 super, G22, and G21. Oddly the G21 was the hands down winner for both of them. All I did was ensure they were safe with the guns ie right mags and Ammo as well as safe handling. They shot and chose what they liked.

Great video for the new gun owner during these trying times.

Great teaching! And she’s a good listener. I was especially impressed with how well her trigger finger adjusts to your reminders that she keep it off.

While it may be surprising that she prefers the LCP given that it’s relatively harder to shoot than the M&P and 1911, many instructors tend to ignore hand fit, specifically the length of the fingers. With the LCP she’s able to get a fully closed grip due to the small and thin grip, so she actually controls it much better than the bigger M&P. Maybe she should try the P365 or P365XL? Those grips really feel nice for small hands (even when compared to say the Glock 43).

Great video. You need to bring April back in about 3 to 6 months for a follow-up video. You are an excellent teacher by the way.
