Spread rumors about how great they are, let the enemy find them, and then shred themselves trying to use them! 3) The crossbow did look pretty cool. 4) Most weapons that can be worn (spikes or blades on the feet or hands) are more trouble than they're worth.

Just for show and to impress your friends with. Self defence? Go to the closest martial arts school, ask if they teach sticks. Lear how to use one, start going around with a cane!
