There is a LOT of bad self defense advice out there, and today we’re starting a series looking at some of the worst self defense clichés out there. Today’s video is about a dangerous cliché.

It came about and was widely used because it's the same or very similar to the actual wording in the requirements for many "make my day" and "stand your ground" laws across the country. Also, with regard to me drawing and being forced to use my concealed firearm, I would only do so IF I thought my life or someone in my immediate vicinity was threatened with death or serious injury. If I wasn't afraid for my life or that of someone around me, I wouldn't draw it to begin with.
If someone breaks into my home, I certainly am in fear for my life and my family. Being afraid doesn’t mean anything, but being justifiably afraid for your life is what matters. I just made your video way simpler. I’m not trying to be a dick but only like 3 idiots are going to hear something new from this. But hey, 3 less idiots is nice
That cliche probably came from The Guy Who Puts Out Butter At Denny's. He's the same one who advises people to shoot intruders and then drag them into your house.

Fearing for your life is a good statement if elaborately used.
Point taken.

Is this legal advice?
I was afraid of losing 6:39 of my life by watching this video, but you came through again. Good topic.
NEVER talk to the police without having your attorney present. Always consult your attorney BEFORE you tell your side of the story.
