What about the officer's partner at the top of the stairs? She sees the attack and has about 5 seconds to drop her drink, draw and fire before the attacker turns and runs. Instead, she runs off camera to the left and behind the officer who is getting attacked. She has now put the officer who is getting attacked between herself and the attacker so she can't fire. She has transferred the drink to her left hand, but she doesn't drop the drink until the guy runs off. She never drew her gun.
Ok..this guy was either trying to die by cop..or his mental capacity is "0" ..either way I'M GETTING OLDER AND THE CROOKS ARE GETTING BOLDER!!! I'm on step 2 of getting my CCW!! It's not paranoia, its being prepared.
I'm always surprised that officers don't immediately pull their guns when being rushed. Female officer should have been trained to immediately pull her weapon. I'm for cops getting military-style training.
first of all, cops are generally more prepared emotionally for the fight then most of us, but tactics, how about throw the drink at the guy, grab the handrail and drive a foot center-mass into the guy. knocks him down the stairs and falling down stairs is NOT fun. but i love the gang of cops that take off after the guy. takes a lot of crazy balls to attack a cop AT THE STATION.
The female officer did what? NOTHING! She should have her firearm out and gone to work. She dropped her coffee when the threat was over and started chasing the guy. SHE SHOULD BE FIRED!
If the female officer had the same reaction in a scenario where they had some warning e.g. negotiating with a person suffering mental health issues who then charged, I would agree with a lot of the comments here. This was an ambush, which is psychologically a very different situation. And it's another situation entirely to be sitting in a chair in front of a computer, watching multiple times in slow mo, thinking about the ideal way to handle it. The way she reacted was not perfect but it was reasonable and I wouldn't expect any better from anyone given the situation.
some people just dont deserve to exist. dumb ass criminal
Sorry but lady cop had opportunities to bust a cap on that attacker…
In America, there would have been a few mag dumps.
plot twist: she was drinking a horchata not a coffee thats why she couldn’t dropped it 🤣
Drink is a weapon, pls use it
Straight front kick would have solved the problem
Next time I bet he ditches his coffee sooner.

I don't have empty handed skills because my hands are usually filled with bacon. But the jokes on the bad guys..fat, greasy people are hard to kidnap.

I have no hand to hand training due to the cost to it in South africa.. but i have about 2000 rounds through my gun😁😁
If only somebody had a gun…

She has no stripes on her shoulders. Fresh out of academy for sure
One thing I learned from training against knife attacks is you're going to get cut and stabbed.
WOW, and another great example of awareness/head on a swivel being one of your best defensive skills! Thanks for another great video Slim.
He was an Arab i'm guessing

My guess is that the perp had been fed a steady stream of "cop bad" propaganda, then decided to take matters into his own hands.
Just shows how soft our police are in Australia.
Not taking a Jab, but guarantee if this happened in the states, he would’ve got shot 10+ times.
