I feel I need to impart a little local knowledge here. As we are essentially a large island who have made handguns extremely onerous to obtain, the ones on the black market have been reported in criminal investigations to cost between 15 to 30 thousand dollars and then there is the high difficulty of obtaining ammunition. This price range relegates them to the realm of organised crime who are not likely to be out carjacking people for a 25 year old Ford wagon worth two thousand dollars. Several states here allow gel ball guns (Airsoft) which is what I think this special individual is carrying. There is not a criminal in this country that would discard such a valuable item so readily. They would run away and try to move the gun on, but certainly would not just dump it as would happen in other parts of the world where guns are easy to come by.
Wow,my home town.I know that in the heat of the moment it’s difficult to make a decision to save yourself when a Scum bag is pointing a gun at you.I would’ve loved to see the driver use the perp as a new “hood ornament” after driving over him.Sadly, in Australia the nuf nuf with the gun would then be seen as the victim therefore causing multiple legal and financial issues for the driver.
I can guarantee you as a born and bred Australian he will say that he didn't receive enough cuddles as a child to the leftie magistrate, a polite talking to and probably a handshake and told to be good for a while. And the mighty Ford BA falcon is unstoppable
