I think a lot of the public, including a lot of self-defenders, are unaware that there is a group of criminals, often referred to as “super criminals,” who have almost zero fear of personal harm, jail, etc. I have seen a man charge at an officer whose weapon was already drawn. He literally did not care.
If you think taking chances like this or some half ass attempt at self-defense training is going to protect you from criminals like that- you’re deluded. Yes, most criminals have weak fortitude- but some don’t. You’re better to build your self-defense attitude around the fact that anyone COULD BE a super criminal.
